This delivery service, available in more than 120 markets globally, also eclipses Uber’s main ride-hailing business in markets like Taipei, Tokyo, Taiwan; and Seoul, South Korea, the company said. It has expanded its sales force to bring more restaurants on board and to open in new cities in India. It is hiring data scientists to analyze daily information on customer orders and preferences to help restaurants improve their service or promote their more popular menu items.
It has a network of more than two million drivers who can deliver food. Cars used for UberEats do not need to pass all of the examination standards required to carry passengers, widening the potential delivery labor pool. This food delivery platform is getting great food from the favorite local restaurants as easy as requesting a ride.
