Tech Giant launches its Processors

Tech Giant

Apple had always relied on other companies to manufacture processors to run its devices. Be it the MAC Pro, the iPhone or the iPad, all the processors were bought in from an outside source. Companies like TSMC and Intel. Sources have suggested that all the future MAC books manufactured, will be powered by Apple’s own processors. According to a report by 9to5MAC and a renowned Apple tipster Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has decided to launch a MAC book within 16-18 months which would be powered by its own processor.

Apple had been working on the making of these processors for a very long time now. However, the Coronavirus outbreak seems to have accelerated this process. This Cupertino based company had become more intensive with its funding for the research, development, and production of 5nm process chips.

These 5nm chips were supposed to be launched in MAC books which had the ARM CPUs. The devices such as MAC books, launched till now, had Intel processor chips. Kuo stated that these 5nm chips would be a major change in the iPhones, iPads and MAC books that would be launched from now onwards. These features in the iPhones and iPads seem a little sparse, though the installation of these chips in the MAC books is for sure.

The major advantage that these in house processors provide is that of the flexibility of the hardware that Apple would have. With an in-house support with software and hardware, Apple devices would provide users with advanced experience.
