Please tell us about the saga of Candid Communication since its inception.

Candid Communication, established in 2003, has been a frontrunner in the industry since its inception and today, it is acknowledged as the largest public relations, event management, communication and marketing agency in the eastern part of India.

Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, Candid Communication owns eight self-owned offices in the country and is connected to 41 cities in India through channel partners. It is also well-connected to USA and Australia through partnership networks.

Besides its office in India, the organization also has a wholly-owned subsidiary of its Indian entity in the United Kingdom – Candid Communication UK. This subsidiary has been endorsed by Department for International Trade (DIT), Government of UK in 2017, to set up business in the UK.

What was your inspiration behind venturing into the business arena?

My inspiration behind venturing into the business arena was my indomitable spirit toward the zenith of success in the first place. Being born and brought up in a non-metro city has made me strive more for success where the sky is the only limit.

My family and colleagues have supported me throughout. Since the early days, I had the realization of ample opportunities and talent which was lying inside me. I had to put in hard work, determination and dedication to sail through it.

What were the initial challenges that you had to surmount to ensure Candid Communication’s success rate to reach greater heights?

Initially, we had to struggle a lot to get the name of our brand out there and build credibility in the minds of the potential and existing clients. Brand building has taken my sleepless nights and efforts which can never be articulated in words.

One has to go through several ups and downs to reach wherever our aim lies. Thus, someone rightly said that there is no elevator to success. I have personally realized that taking baby steps/ one step at a time helps to retain success for an extended period of time.

What professional values and qualities do you think your clients value in you and your brand the most?

I think we have been able to keep our promises to each and every client and always tried our best to get things done on time. Whatever I do is filled with passion and dedication which I believe my clients can sense too given the feedback I always get. This is one of the many reasons old clients come back to us with work time and again.

What are the USPs that highlight Candid’s uniqueness in the industry you are catering to?

As a part of the PR industry, our USP is to serve the clients with A Category coverage pan India. We have been able to do the same for our clients in the United Kingdom (UK) as well.

As an experienced professional, what would you like to advice the budding aspirants willing to enter the business world?

Aspirants willing to make a niche for themselves in the business world will require an amalgamation of both smart and hard work to sustain themselves in the rapid changing world. Most importantly, there have to be multiple business avenues and several plans to deal with ace whenever a crisis situation occurs.

How do you envision Candid Communication’s operations with the emerging technologies and automated tools that are revolutionizing the business world by enabling innovations?

With the emergence of the budding technologies and right implementation of the existing ones, we as a PR agency have evolved to be one of the best in the eastern part of the country for the longest time now.

We have been successfully using different social media handles and features to practice our forte in the field of digital media on par with the traditional ones. For us, communication barriers have evidently nullified since the time we have started executing Digital PR.
