A Passionate Architect
An elite team of Studio 165 is led by its Director, Ar. Vishal Deshmukh. Vishal completed his architecture from D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. After that, he took experience of 4 years by working in different renowned firms in the profession.
Vishal is member of I.I.A registered with C.O.A. He is also a chartered member of I.I.V, practicing as an architect, interior, landscape designer and valuer. He was designated as Director of Architect’s association in Parbhani 2014-2017.
As an architect, he grabbed the significance of working in architecture field. While learning he understood that every aspect, environment, cost and material to be used, etc. needs to be considered while designing.
Vishal is passionate about designing everything in more detail with innovation. His aim is to do captivating works in Marathwada region to enhance its potential and beauty. He wishes to do landmark monumental projects, which can have impact on individual and can become inspiration to designers.
Source of Inspiration
As a designer, Vishal feels proud to be in such a noble profession. He was eager since his early college days to grab opportunity in the field of design after some practical experience.
It was the inspiration of many avid designers and historical structures that drew him to work in field of architecture. The more impact was of Ar. Shirish Berry for his uniqueness and humbleness in his design, and Ar. Hafeez Contractor for his passion while working on every project.
For new design, he always finds inspiration from heritage buildings while travelling. He always felt that those buildings had less opportunity and more limitations though they were marvelous.
When asked about his most challenging project, Vishal mentioned that it was a meditation center, as to grab the concept as a hindu meditator with relation to society. He believes that the well-designed building can inspire individuals to get attracted towards meditation and feel peace in surroundings.
An Abundance of Material
According to Vishal, currently, there is an abundance of material available in market, so he feels more liberty while designing which will create and transform architecture in future and prospective in interiors and landscape as well. In Vishal’s opinion, concept design on site conditions, software and tools are also helping his team a lot to present design in right way.
At a Personal Level
Every project undertaken by Studio 165 is designed, executed, and looked after at a personal level. Vishal and his team constantly discuss every minute detail of the clients’ requirement through the meetings and serve them appropriate concepts as per the needs. They even involve them in the concept and demand while designing. This way, clients are also able to understand the importance of good design with respect to commercial value of the business.
Vishal opines that building creates atmosphere which tells them whether it is commercial, administrative, academic, or residential and helps to promote different purposes.
Firstly, his team does a systematic site analysis and understands the scope of design in the given site conditions. Then they prepare a conceptual design based on the inputs given by the client and get it approved by the client. After that, they discuss and finalize the final outcome, in regards with the estimate, look & feel, and finishes etc. Then they coordinate with all the consultants and prepare service coordination drawing and a detailed working drawing. They visit sites on technical visit times and keep the clients updated about the project progress. They finish the project by handing over set of all drawings to the client for his future references.

Embracing Technology
With massive tech-enabled advancements also come challenges. All of the resources of the firm and the extensive experience of the firm’s partners are available at access to assist in the proper completion of the project through technical development and construction administration. According to Vishal, technology provides his company an opportunity to create enthusiasm and glamour to the works. But, there are challenges in its execution. It sometimes becomes difficult to understand and be prepared to grab the technology and materials with their limits.
Another challenge is to create environment friendly designs to balance with nature. Vishal believes that if architects are able to design each building sensibly with proper percentage of landscape in it, it will lift the aesthetical value of the country.
Secondly, he also mentions that concrete and glass should be replaced or re-designed with different materials to reduce environmental heat, as energy efficient buildings concept are more deserving.
Futuristic Aspirations
Studio 165 is constantly seeking new construction innovations and technologies, providing its clients with predictable, reliable and collaborative services. In future, Vishal wishes to do monumental buildings which can have its aesthetical impact forever.
In his advice to the people who are just starting out in architecture and design, he says, “Don’t think about competition and think about level of design and try to become yourself. Create your own designs and feel proud as a designer.”
