SnapLearn: Making Education Easily Available for Everyone

Shyam Manohar Singh | CEO & Founder | SnapLearn

Although most schools and colleges have migrated to online mode of teaching-learning during the pandemic utilizing various platforms like zoom, google meet and Microsoft teams etc., these mediums require consistent high-speed internet which is expensive and often not available to majority of students and schools in rural and semi-urban areas.

Realising these glitches, the team of SnapLearn started their journey of making education available for every strata of the society. SnapLearn offers a platform which not only enables teachers and learners to overcome this limitation, but also tries to offer multiple language support for vernacular mediums.

SnapLearn chose WhatsApp as the medium as it is easily and cheaply available to most of the students and teachers to overcome all the anomalies, easing education through Whatsapp without compromising privacy of students and teachers. Snaplearn has hundreds of students and teachers already on this platform and they are looking to expand further. Read along to know more about what SnapLearn has to offer:

Mission– To reach the remotest corner of India through cheap and best online education platforms for all students and teachers who lack these facilities due to unavailability of infrastructure.

What kind of challenges has your brand and its team faced during the scaling of the business?

Challenges that we have faced and are still facing to scale the business are – creating the database for students to provide them instant answers, ensuring questions are answered in a short timeframe, working on the quality of answers, and making sure no question should be unanswered.

We take student feedback regarding their satisfaction with the answers and are also working on the quality of teachers who get associated with SnapLearn.

Marketing our platform to reach a wider target of teachers and learners remains a challenge we are working on.

Being on the journey of becoming a renowned brand, how have technological advancements and its knowledge enhanced the business of your company?

We are a completely online platform. We have a dedicated technical team working on product development, digital marketing and technical support. They have the relevant expertise to support SnapLearn’s growth by using conventional as well as new and emerging technologies such and AI and ML.

As one of India’s leading brand, what are you doing differently than the rest of your competitors?

We developed a chat-bot which brings together students and teachers. Learners have flexibility of sending questions in the form of text and handwritten image or only image. All one needs to do is to register with us on WhatsApp and snap and send their questions.

What does the future look like for your brand in terms of growth and expansion?

Our future depends on the future of the children, the way schools, teachers and students are using our product and the way our product is helping in the education of the country; we feel that we will do well in future. We have also partnered with FuseSchool, a very large organization in UK, in which our mission is to digitally teach 100 million students by 2023.

How has your brand withstood the complexities of the industry that you are catering to in this ongoing pandemic? As one of the leading brands, what steps have you taken towards tackling all, while safeguarding your employees, and taking care of your clientele’s needs?

SnapLearn is built to deal with the challenges posed by the pandemic on education. Our employees work remotely, and our students and teachers get a platform for teaching-learning without the need of attending physical classrooms. We are working on upgrading our product, offering to become a companion to support learning while being safe at home.

What advice would you like to give to the young entrepreneurs who are looking to grow their brand in this competitive market?

All we want to say to young entrepreneurs is, you can build a good brand in this competitive world if you follow these three things –

  1. Your product must evolve with time and be really helpful to others
  2. Your attention, hard work and energy is completely dedicated to your product.
  • You should always have the curiosity to learn.

What according to you is personal branding?

Personal branding is about taking responsibility over how you present yourself. If you strive to position yourself as an expert or become an influencer within your niche, personal branding can help increase your reputation as a leader. By showcasing unique character traits and having an active presence online, you can work towards building a personal brand that resonates with the people all over the world.

According to you, what are the essentials for being a leading brand?

Essentials for being a leading brand are –

Consistency – focused, consistent branding makes it clear to customers what they can expect from you. You need to be presenting consistent images and messaging to customers in each of your marketing channels, whether it be your website, social media, email, advertising or signage or product experience. This consistency across the customer experience is what breeds trust. Trust produces sales and encourages loyal, repeat customers.

Community– once you have a clear definition of your brand, you can zero in on the right market for your business. You can target customers that share the values, behaviour and personality traits you have defined for your organization. A well‑defined and consistent brand experience allows you to not only attract like‑minded customers but also like‑minded employees. Now you are creating a community. In this way, a strong brand clarifies how your organization behaves both externally and internally.

Content– Now that you have a clearly focused brand, it is time to bring it to life. Content is the vehicle to achieve this. Good content allows you to interact with your community. With this content, you are building engagement with customers and framing how they can use what you offer to fulfil their needs or desires.

These three essential elements provide a foundation for building a successful brand and can also become the litmus test for your organization’s branding efforts moving forward.
