Many reputed companies associated with the college in the first phase of Placement Season 2019-20. The season saw three companies from the league of the Big 4 namely EY, KPMG and Deloitte extend 25 offers in cumulation. Other reputed reputed firms such as Bain Capability Network, The D.E. Shaw Group, FTI Consulting, CBRE, Praxis, RocSearch, Periscope by McKinsey, ColgatePalmolive, Grant Thornton, United Airlines, Zilingo, rofers and so forth also became a part of the season.

The ties with Goldman Sachs were strengthened further as they visited campus yet again to hire interns for their new Bangalore office. The leading global investment management firm also extended pre-placement offers to the previously selected interns for their Investment Banking Division adding another feat in the history of SSCBS. Students also received pre-placement offers from companies like KPMG, RocSearch and Grofers.

Another key highlight of the season was Bain Capability Network (BCN) associating with SSCBS to conduct a case study competition named BrAIN WARS, wherein the selected teams received the golden opportunity to be personally mentored by BCN professionals.

Another distinctive event was the successful coordination of a session conducted by KPMG on FY 2019-20 Union Budget. The session discussed the components of the Budget and addressed its impacts on the Indian economy, while simultaneously prompting the attendees to engage in the discourse with a conscious mind.

SSCBS further consolidated its relationship with EY by hosting EY Corporate Finance Woman of the Year, a competition that provided an opportunity to the winners to work in the Transaction Advisory Services department of the firm. It gives us immense pleasure to announce that one of our students was selected amongst the World Finalists.

CDC aims at providing the best possible opportunities to the students by giving them a thriving platform and an early corporate exposure. Hence, CDC has taken the initiative of preparing a comprehensive document for the students sitting for placements this year by collecting data from the students who already appeared in the processes last year. The document entails job descriptions, placement processes, questions asked during different rounds, technical and HR, etc. CDC is also facilitating a project called “The Buddy Project” wherein the second-year students have been allotted a third-year student as their mentor to guide them about the placements.

CDC continued its initiative of helping students crack useful placement related questions by regularly posting answers in their ‘#BhaiPlaced’ Section. Like every year, CDC also conducted resume authentication programs to constantly keep a check on the information included in resumes and make sure that only authentic details go through to the companies.

CDC yet again raised the bar by escalating its performance and achieving the highest average package across the University of Delhi. With many ambitious projects, initiatives and extensive training, development sessions lined up, CDC aims at raising the college stature through placements and adding more feathers in its cap in the ongoing Placement Season 2019- 20!
