Satyam Venture Engineering Services (Satven) was established in the year 2000 with a singular focus & objective – to cater to the varied & complex design & mechanical engineering needs of the automotive industry. 2) Brief us about the Founder/CEO and his/her contribution towards the upliftment of the consultancy. What was the source of inspiration for your consultancy to be a pioneer in the Engineering Consultants segment?
CEO, Mr. Rao S Vadlamudi has been successfully driving the growth of Satven since its inception and has a successful track record of delivering high value-added services to major OEM and Tier-1 suppliers around the world.
He was the Vice President at Venture LLC, USA, playing a key role in corporate business planning and development. He was also instrumental in developing the joint venture between Venture LLC, USA and Satyam Computers, Hyderabad (now Tech Mahindra).
Satven was the first to set up an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) in India for Global Automotive customers in its early stages.

Stringent compliance, optimized fuel efficiency, improved emission levels, lower costs, faster turnaround, Geo-specific vehicle configurations, Driverless Vehicles , Electrical Vehicles are the new growth corridor for the Automotive Industry. OEMs are expecting valuable contribution from Design & Engineering Service providers in these emerging technology areas whereas there are only a few services providers who are up to the mark to take up those challenges in totality.

6) With the massive advancements in the Engineering industry, what are the opportunities and challenges evolving with it?           Â
Automotive industry is ripe for disruption and the game-changing disruption is already happening, however there is still no integrated perspective how it will shape up in the next 5 to 10 years.
It will be interesting to see how this disruption will affect traditional vehicle manufacturers and suppliers, potential new players, regulators, consumers, markets, and the automotive value chain.
A paradigm shift in the industry is already creating opportunities for new entrants, Mobility providers, tech giants and specialty OEMs and increasing the complexity of the competitive landscape
New disruption will inevitably force traditional car manufacturers to compete on multiple fronts.

10) Brief us about your consultancy’s future perspectives.
OEMs are now focusing more on safety, usage patterns, Infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems, regulatory compliance for emission, supplier ecosystems, price etc. and the convergence of internet, mobile technology, machine learning and ever changing customer demands are making the game even more interesting and challenging.
We see a lot of opportunity for growth which is allowing Engineering Service providers like Satven to lead the disruption rather than fearing of the same.
