Ms. Sanskruti is also concerned about the quality of Bollywood songs which are gradually degrading. She says, “Every week, a new song releases, which stays with you for a very short span of time until another song debuts.” Songs releasing nowadays do not have longevity; they are forgotten easily. The lyrics are very commercial and lack the desired appeal. However, Ms. Sanskruti also opines that some Bollywood songs are exceptionally good. She feels that there is a certain balance between the quality of songs in Bollywood.

Ms. Sanskruti adds that Bollywood music today is affecting the younger generation. They are being bombarded with excessive rap songs and remixes of classic songs. Moreover, the widespread of social media has given an impetus to the popularity of remixed songs.
