Reliance Industries (RIL) said on Thursday that its subsidiary Reliance Retail Ventures Limited will open 7-Eleven Convenience shops in India. For the opening of its convenience shops in India, Reliance Retail’s subsidiary has engaged into a master franchise deal with 7-Eleven, Inc (SEI).
“The first 7- Eleven shop in Mumbai will open on Saturday, October 9 in Andheri East. This will be followed by a fast deployment in important neighbourhoods and commercial districts, beginning with the Greater Mumbai cluster,” RIL said in an exchange filing.
Mukesh Ambani-led RIL further stated that the 7-Eleven outlets seek to give consumers with a distinct kind of convenience, offering a variety of beverages, snacks, and delicacies, as well as refills of everyday staples.
“SEI will also assist RRVL in adopting and localising the distinctive 7-Eleven convenience retail business model for India, including bringing best in class procedures and practises,” claimed RIL’s retail arm.
