Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani mentioned that India will get the most affordable green energy in the world in this decade.

Aiming to replicate the swift success achieved in the telecom industry and to make India the most affordable destination for green energy worldwide within this decade, Mukesh Ambani said about Reliance Industries’ huge investments in green energy.

In a statement to shareholders in its annual report for the fiscal year of March, Mr Ambani revealed “This new growth engine holds great promise to outshine all our existing growth engines in just 5-7 years. Just as India has the world’s most affordable wireless broadband today, we will have the world’s most affordable green energy within this decade.”

In June 2021, the company had propounded to invest ₹75,000 crores consecutively over the next three years for setting up the four giga-factories spread over 5,000 acres in Jamnagar, Gujarat. These Giga factories will produce fuel cells, electrolyzers, solar panels, and, energy storage systems, thereby encouraging global partnerships to help in achieving net carbon zero status by 2035.
