The government of India has approved the proposal for Nestle India towards a production linked scheme with regards to processed fruits and vegetables. Nestle India informed its investors about the approval on Tuesday.
Nestle India submitted its proposal regarding the production linked scheme to the government in June 2021. The proposal was in regards to the food processing sector under the eligible categories, which vary from ready to eat to ready to cook.
The company now believes that the approval of this scheme will help the farmers in the food processing sector along with the companies in the food processing industries. Nestle India believe that this will after this scheme the ratio of capital investment and employment generation will improve.
