In the ancient most language of stones, marble stands tall with its mighty tales of civilizational epochs beginning somewhere in the midst of pyramid builders and continuing to date into our modern spaces. This majestic taleteller formed as carbonate rock’s metamorphic transformation has seen it all, from the marvellous, glorious, magnificent, opulent, and majestic allure of Anatolia or Turkey‘s Roman and Byzantium era to the architectonics of our times.

Born into a family that has been in the business of construction marble for more than two decades, Pooja Sharma, the Founder and CEO, was allured by marble’s natural beauty and the historical past of its formation and foundations laid across the world for centuries. “I fell in love with it, no, become obsessed with it,” Pooja expresses, who, out of curiosity and love at the age of thirteen, started to learn more about marbles marvels and, in the process, grew honing business skills and a passion for beautiful Décor.

Pooja states, “Stealing out time post working with diverse corporate jobs in multiple domains; I revisited my knowledge about marble and my quest for finding the most exclusive decor for home and found the sweet spot for my own

MARBELOZ – India’s First Home-grown Luxury Marble Decor Brand

And we believe in reimagining modern spaces through the natural elegance and luxurious touch of hand-carved pure marble.”

So, Pooja kept scrolling Indian and Global websites and apps to find unique and never-seen-before decor. These are usually decor adornments crafted from clay, brass, and other metals. Then one day, she thought—why not marble? Why restrict it to just the construction business? It’s 100% natural and has a luxurious vein texture that is unique to every marble block. It complements all decor settings, be it modern or vintage, and it has cooling and natural properties that are good for your health. That was the “aha” moment, and Pooja knew what her dream venture would be about!

Since that day, Pooja, with her team MARBELOZ has been travelling to the interiors of India and the world to select the most exclusive and pure textures of marble and extend their charming allure beyond the luxurious floor and wall tiles.

The intricate detailing and hand-painting of hand-carved marble in the interiors of India and the world is like nothing people had seen before, and this had to be shared with the world.

The Glorious Saga

Historically speaking, marble has been synonymous with luxury. Marble artefacts and decor adorned the magnificent royal settings of the palaces and iconic monuments in India and over the world. Pooja claims that via MARBELOZ, they want to revive this lost glory and preserve this legacy with our reinterpretation of marble craftsmanship for modern décor.

The elegant natural vein texture of marble seamlessly fits all modern home decor settings, all the while adding a royal touch straight from the legacy Indian palaces and kingdoms.

Pooja adds, “We craft our entire range with pure marble and create jobs for our craftspeople to empower their family legacy, which must be preserved and carried forward to build a bright future for everyone.” They only use the most authentic and highest grade of marble, coming with in-depth knowledge and research about all facets of the Indian marble industry and history.

Of the Riches and the Splendour

However, it was not that easy. As Pooja reveals that there were major challenges they had to surmount to ensure MARBELOZ’s success rate reached greater heights. Some of the many challenges in this business were,

  • To find artisans to create the specific art forms which are rare today.
  • Procure the best marble stone suitable to sustain the crafting of the old art forms.
  • Safe delivery of these precious art pieces to customers’ living spaces.
  • The research behind each art and product created with its linked historical fact or natural properties.
  • Integrate the most feasible technologies for customer convenience and feedback, along with the safest payment modes Nationally and Internationally.
  • Last but most importantly, to create value for the artisans who are undervalued today due to high unorganized marble handicraft industry and are located in remote areas.

By Chiselling the Obstacles Out

To overcome these challenges, Pooja first formed the fundamental principle of MARBELOZ in its core purpose–striving to revive the lost glory and respect for the luxurious beauty of marble and hand craftsmanship

And to achieve this purpose, Pooja divided her firm’s mission into three sub-goals:

First, to transform the elegant natural beauty of marble into luxury decor artefacts for modern spaces. Second, uplift and empower marble artisans in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and other marble centres of India and the world. And third, preserve and tell the story of the ancient art, culture, and heritage of the world and India through marble.

Social Upliftment

When asked what professional values and qualities clients admire in her and MARBELOZ the most, Pooja says that they are,

  • Masterpiece crafted in best quality Marble
  • Innovative/creative designs
  • Value creator
  • Promise to deliver nothing less than the best.
  • International Standard Quality Checks

Elevating the Earth

Moreover, she says ecological balance is the key to bringing peace and balance to our homes. The way we interact with our habitat has a direct impact on our well-being too! “By using pure marble to decorate your homes, we aim to offer more mindful choices to you that bring a refreshing change from the plastic pellets that have managed to reach every corner of our lives. So far, it has been extremely admired by our clients,” she adds

Future Days of the Past

Further, revealing brand MARBELOZ’s USPs that highlight its uniqueness in the industry, Pooja says that the first factor is the unique brand name which signifies MARB (Represents Marble Stone); El (Represents word “The”); and OZ (Represents Weight in Ounces) in its letters.

The other USPs are,

  • We are the only luxury interior decor brand in India where the entire range of artefacts is handcrafted with marble only, and every product is distinct and exclusive to the consumer,
  • Each product creation is led by detailed research of the founders themselves for its historical and design value along with its utility and favourable natural properties,
  • We deliver masterpieces at your doorstep, which is absolutely unique forever,” says Pooja.

Pooja and the Philosopher’s Stone

As an experienced professional, Pooja’s advice to budding aspirants willing to enter the business world is holistic. She says that passion should drive the idea, not the profits. Always work towards making an ecosystem that can bring change to the life of people working with you at all levels. Also, try to create sustainability for any Business Idea you work on. Further, think out of the box and find the right balance in creating economies for most of the human strata connected. Always be a customer first to understand the use of the business for the end user. And finally, always keep learning and be grounded to be rooted firmly to face the inevitable brunt of time.

Shaping Tomorrow’s Tale

On envisioning the future of MARBELOZ, Pooja shares, “Our vision is that we imagine a future where your dream home is customized to match your exquisite taste; and modern luxury spaces become synonymous with the exclusivity of marble, craftsmanship, and its rich cultural heritage.”

Along these lines, MARBELOZ strives to give the best buying experience to customers and assist them with their queries for more product information. It connects art to the customer and business segments that appreciate its value and boosts the dying legacy and economics of the Marble stone crafting art—enhancing the capacity and capability with frequent additions of Global Art and supply chain. “Our long-term vision is to create an International Marketplace for the Marble Handicraft industry by delivering the best masterpieces across the globe at your doorstep,” concludes Pooja.
