A formal statement from the officials of PB Fintech, a parent company of Policybazaar ensures prioritizing the security and integrity of its system as well as the protection of customer data after reporting the hacking of its IT system on Sunday.
The company noticed certain vulnerabilities regarding illegal and unauthorized access to the network of Policybazaar Insurance Broker’s IT system. The incident took place on July 19th, post which the firm reached out to its appropriate authorities.
The investigation regarding the case is in process, the company officials shared a formal statement confirming that no significant customer data was leaked. Moreover, the identified vulnerabilities have been fixed and a thorough audit of the system has been initiated by the firm.
