  1. How is your company catering differently to its clientele, to stand apart from competition in the PPE (personal protection equipment) space? What safety, hygiene and quality-assurance standards does your company abide by to inspire the trust of its clients?

The USP of our firm is the stock that we carry which provides zero waiting time for our customers. The wide range of products makes our firm a Safety Departmental Store where customers can get all the safety related items and transmission tools at one place.

The trust of our customers and our goodwill in the market is a result which we have earned in 20 long years by maintaining our quality in products and services. All our products pass through a two-channel testing before any dispatch to maintain the consistency.

Mr Rajeev Gupta Director/Founder of ONRG started the business from scratch, sitting in a small city like Prayagraj has achieved the turnover of Rs 50 crores recently. His two major skills which are persuading power and customer relations are the main reason why ONRG has flourished so much in these years.

  1. What challenges has your team faced in the earlier days of the company? What struggles is the team going through now?

During the early days, the main challenge was the “Awareness of safety”

Earlier, personal protective items were seen as luxury items and not the necessity.

It took a long way to educate and make understand people the importance of Personal Protective equipment like: Safety Helmet, Safety Shoes, Safety Gloves, Spectacles, etc.

The struggles and challenges that we are going through currently are: The intense competition in the market, new players’ entry, Chinese products costing very low, etc.

  1. The global coronavirus outbreak has tested people, industries, governments, and supply chains all over the world. However, the pandemic has also managed to put PPE industry in the spotlight. How exactly did the pandemic affect your company’s operations and finances?

 The global pandemic (Covid-19) had a humongous impact on every segment of market and yes it also managed to put PPE industry in the spotlight because this pandemic taught everyone the importance of PPEs. Items like: safety spectacles, masks, etc. were on very high demand during the pandemic.

During the early lockdown phase, our company’s major sales were on down side but as the time went by our operations were back on track and our company managed to achieve higher sales this year than few previous years.

  1. What are the strategically driven plans that you are implementing to scale your company in the year 2021? 

The strategies that are planned to be implemented in this new financial year are:

  • Greater focus on Promotional Activities
  • Online Marketing
  • Export promotion
  • Showcase in exhibitions
  1. What are the future prospects for your esteemed company?

Currently the main market segment that we are serving is the Transmission Line market and local market, so there are great prospects for us in different market segments like: Defence, Air force, Government supply, etc.
