In an attempt to crack the affordability barrier in India, Ola Electric Mobility Pvt announced the price of its electric scooter to be Rs.99,999 ($1,348).
On Sunday, during an official launch time to coincide with India’s Independence Day, the backed electric vehicle unicorn Tiger Global Management and Softbank Group Corp. revealed the price of Ola S1.
On a complete charge, the basic version of electric scooter will have a range of 121 kilometres (75 miles).
The company said, according to the subsidies offered by each state government, the prices of its electric scooter will vary.
The delivery will commence in over 1,000 cities, in October. Also, the export to countries like Europe, Latin America, and Asia will begin in the coming months.
