It is a great pleasure for me to introduce to you OOKA Radio, an innovative branded in-store music revolution for retail outlets keen to embrace the advantages of the technological advancements to boost sales, market leadership and connect with generation next. Its “Private branded Radio” which centrally managed from one single dashboard and creates a niche of your own and establishes you as a progressive brand. In 2018, OOKA the dream was born in one heart, believed by few and became a reality in a small office.
In the last 3 years OOKA Radio has become one of the trendsetters in the growing In-Store Radio Entertainment industry. What began as a modest start up with 4 like-minded individuals, is today an emerging organization of enterprising professionals catering to the day to day musically marketable needs of more than 5900+ retail stores all across the country, associated with 160 Brands and 403 Cities, catering to 10 million captive customers and 4 Airports with additional 80 million captive audience. Who is your source of inspiration or who has motivated you to accomplish your goals?
It always comes first from family either to encourage or to hold ,the first person to encourage was and is always my wife Mallika, a gnostic, sharp mind and full of knowledge, Rakesh, the principal architect of my imaginations without him I can’t imagine this brand or company, Mohin Agochiya a marketing Giant, a person who helped to craft the brand and constitute my beliefs, trusted the future of brand, and my team, my colleagues they trusted my dreams with their eyes and being there with me since inception of the company without any fear. Naunihal Singh always inspired us how to be strong in tough situations and stay focused on core product.
Kindly enlighten us about the various services provided by your company.
We customize content delivery for music messaging to engage customers with a dedicated team to conceptualize, design and produce content on a day-to-day basis for your brand. Add to this the ability to play your adverts, promos and audio indents; you will have the fully customized experience. We are complete in-store music solution for retail and hospitality. We create mood map genres of music for the different hours of the day at outlets. Our vast music library will refresh automatically every day. We do create spot /jingles/Capsules/ festive announcements/ offer announcement according to the script suggested.
What are your goals as an in-store radio company?
We are looking to make another largest platform of captive audience of media more than 200 million audience by reaching 25k outlets and 20 Airports nationally and internationally. We wanted to cover uncovered areas, always see and innovate out of box. This year, we are looking to add 20 more national and international airports. We are also exploring international markets like Canada, UAE and USA in as joint venture or master franchise to work.
Kindly tell us about the various challenges that your company has faced.
The same challenges any new start up, at the age of 40 people never accept, then money and beliefs. We started selling the products which was free to use and was very difficult to break the traditional bylaws.to educate people about in Store advertisements and upscale of sales through and make their customers happy with music.
What are your opinions about technology and innovation?
Being entrepreneurs, we always keep our eye to enhance with best technology and keep doing experiments, number of times we failed but we always looked for innovation and that’s keep us introducing new product line and clients boost our moral every time by referring.
What are the unique services provided by your company that set you apart from your competitors?
We are totally different technology driven company, we always believe OUT of Box ,we are experimenting music without internet, real time announcements with jingles format ,shared IPL score and ground facts with stores, Music set up at Airports without any satellite or frequency , experimenting OOKA Radio in commercial vehicles, and many more unpredicted products about to launch in this year 2021
Marching ahead, what are your future plans?
We are very optimistic in span of 3 years we reached at 6000 outlets and about 90 million audience, looking to get around 200 million audience by reached 25k outlets and 20 Airports in India and International. We are exploring some ideas with Indian Railways also. And looking a revenue around 40cr by March 2022 if pandemic slows down by July 21 and everything normalize.
How are you facing the challenges imposed by the pandemic?
This pandemic has shaken everybody from life to business, so we are also affected but we paying every employee working from home. We are not raising any invoice to clients and also waiving off the yearly fees also.
