SoftAge the Document Management Company has tied up with the leading telecommunication companies including Vodafone, Idea Cellular and Tata DoCoMo to launch its e-commerce platform 10Digi for free door-step delivery of SIMs, data cards with e-KYC activation among other services.
Ozair Yasin, MD of SoftAge, said that the company will also be offering door-step delivery of Reliance Jio SIMs by end-October in Gurgaon and by mid-November in Delhi-NCR.
SoftAge is also in talks with Aircel and Airtel for collaboration with its 10Digi platform. The e-commerce platform has come up with the concept of ‘mobile retailers’ who would be giving door-step delivery of SIMs and other devices, by being constantly on the move and receiving requests on the go.
SoftAge claimed that, through its website and apps, they will enable customers to get their SIM activated within 1-4 hours where the process usually takes 8-48 hours. Customers opting for e-KYC activation will be able to get it done almost instantly.
10Digi will go live by mid-October in Gurgaon and by mid-November in Delhi-NCR, and will be rolled out in the next six months in 125 cities pan India, will have around 150 SoftAge Communication Centers of 10Digi.
Yasin said, “For Delhi-NCR we have invested about INR 5 crores, the overall investment including all the phases will cost us around INR 50 crore. If the platform becomes successful pan-India, we are expecting a return of INR 500-700 crore.”
The company said that as part of its future expansion plans, they are holding talks with Reliance Industries for delivering their LYF smartphones by making them available on their 10Digi e-commerce platform.
“In the future, we will also be adding devices from popular smartphone brands to our platform,” added Yasin.
SoftAge currently has11 warehouses, 15 circle offices and 558 spoke offices in India. It is also present in Africa and Middle East.
