Mobile phones that popularly ruled in 90s were Nokia. Primarliy, phones were produced by this brand with some of the best and unique features back then. But, slowly with developing technology it started losing it’s impact on people and eventually its demand and popularity exhausted.
After months of speculations, Nokia has finally made a statement of them making a much-awaited and expected comeback into the digital market. This time with android phones competiting the current ruling companies Samsung and Apple.
Initially, HMD had entered into an exclusive 10-year brand licensing agreement with the Finnish telecom mammoth for mobile phones and tablets internationally.
“HMD will bring a new generation of mobile phones to consumers, with the first smartphone products set to be launched in the first half of 2017, alongside the existing Nokia branded feature phone business,” it said in a statement.
The partnership will mainly focus on their sale in market across Asia, America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and China from the day of it’s inscribtion.
This can be considered as a golden opportunity for Nokia company to return into the market and create their brand space that they had few years back by introducing newer features and attract the consumers.
It would be interesting to see if it fits the bill and survives.
