HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas announced the roadmap for the Nokia branded smartphones via his official Twitter account. The roadmap unveils the list of smartphones that have previously undergone Android 9.0 Pie update, are in the middle of and the rest of the devices that will pick up over the air update (OTA). Sarvikas claims that HMD was the quickest in rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo and Oreo 8.1 and plans on being fastest this time as well.
Five smartphones have already been introduced to the 9.0 update with the Nokia 7 Plus being the early one in September 2018. Nokia 6.1 and 6.1 plus received the OTA update in October and Nokia 7.1 and 5.1 plus got the update in November and December respectively.

Current Smartphones in Rollout: Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco
January 2019 end: Nokia 5 and Nokia 3.1 Plus
Quarter End, 2019: Nokia 6, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 2.1
Second Quarter End, 2019: Nokia 3 and Nokia 1
The update will bring in many fresh features to these devices including adaptive battery and brightness along with a new navigation scheme. Additional new features like Dashboard, which monitors the screen time and phone usage, will also be present. The phones will also pick up App Timers- to set time limiter on app usage, Wind Down Mode-which fades the screen into Greyscale and Do not Disturb to silence all the notifications.
