In our quest of finding the Women Influencers of the 21st Century, we at Insights Success crossed paths with Nisha Kukrejha, the Founder and Head of Marketing at Luxaire.

In the following interview, Nisha shares her opinions and experiences of spearheading a leading luxury appliance company. She also sheds light on the intricacies of what is required to be an influential business leader.

Kindly brief us about you and your journey since the beginning of your career.

Prior to Luxaire, I was associated with the Corporate world in various industries in Sales & Marketing roles. I learnt about Marketing Research, Strategy, Advertising, the subtle art of negotiation & experienced hard core Sales roles. Being the Founder and Marketing Head at Luxaire, I now play dual roles for the Brand.

One of my key responsibilities involves, making sure that I get my finger on the market pulse – that is to get into our client’s minds and constant engagement. Supporting the Marketing & expansion plans of the brand Luxaire and exploring new partnerships and alliances keeps my hands full.

Luxaire has redefined the concept of Ceiling Fans and made them into statement pieces. Incepted in the Year 2012, Luxaire remains the first Brand in India to offer Original, Patented & High quality Luxury Ceiling Fans for bespoke Residences & Hotel/Resorts. We were also the first to launch BLDC Motor Designer Fans then, the latest technology along with WHISPER quiet functionality & optimal air efficiency.

Luxaire is an ode to an often-under-appreciated decorative element that can actually define an entire space. The wide range of Ceiling Fans includes Exquisite, Contemporary or Antique finishes are possible in many colours, sizes & themes especially designed for bespoke Living rooms. The product suite includes Real wooden fans, Reversible colour Fans, Silent Fans, Chandelier Fans & even Transparent Blade Fans.

The focus is on Design & best features whether its Winter function, Mood light, Remote or Green technology. With over 650 SKUs, Luxaire is a pan India Brand having surpassed the industry standards, and is the fastest growing Luxury Fan brand in India.

How do you keep yourself motivated?

As they say – Working hard for something we don’t care about is called Stress. Working hard for something we love is called Passion. When you’re passionate about your work then, every day is motivation enough to create new opportunities and to dream on.

Clutter creates Confusion. One thing I always do is that I like to clean up my surroundings regularly that gets me in the right mindset to concentrate on important tasks & stay motivated.

My idol & inspiration is Indra Nooyi who is a famous global leader for her outspokenness, Leadership and Energy.

Share with us the highest point, most memorable and remarkable moment of your life, professionally. Also, the lowest phase of your life or the toughest deal to crack.

We firmly believe in the adage – Tough Times do not Last, Tough People Do!

This attitude has helped us overcome many obstacles in the past & we are very confident that the current business challenges posed on account of the C 19 Pandemic , which to my mind is the most disrupting event we have experienced thus far, will also be overcome by believing in ourselves and having a Positive Mental Attitude.

The Most Memorable moment in my Professional Life would have to be the time when I chose to move out of my comfort zone from being a salaried employee to venturing out into a Whole New World of Entrepreneurship. I had spent a considerable amount of time debating this decision with myself & when I finally decided to take the Leap, it was very Liberating & memorable!

Tell us about your passions, aims and goals.

Personally speaking my main Life Focus is on ensuring that I am able to reach my full potential.

With regards to Luxaire, it is my aim to improve the wellness quotient of customers across South Asia by providing them with a Unique Eye Catching Product Range which is also great in terms of functionality. Luxaire has to be at the forefront of innovation in terms of Product offering, Service & experience.

State us your major achievements and your company’s achievements under your leadership.

My most valuable contribution to Luxaire thus far has been with regards to the strength of our  Product Portfolio. Any company is fundamentally assessed based on what it brings to the table in terms of Market needs & this is where I believe that Luxaire scores heads over heels above the rest & has become a true Game Changer in the Industry.

Kindly tell us about the challenges you faced to withstand the complexities your industry. Brief us about the industry scenario from your perspective. 

India, our primary market, has numerous options with regards to Commercial Fans. Not only are these Fans much cheaper, but are also widely and easily available across the country. This is our Foremost Challenge. Luxaire needs to be visible to the right audience not only online, but also physically. Once this is done & more and more customers get to experience the Range, we are confident that price would not be a major issue & customers would be more focused on the value proposition offered by Luxaire.

What are the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout and would like to share

The harder I work, the Luckier I get. This may sound clichéd, but it is something I believe in wholeheartedly. Also there is no substitute to being genuinely nice to people & grateful to the universe.

Where do you see yourself in the near future? Tell us about your future goals.

Luxaire has enabled me to explore various aspects of my personality for which I am very grateful to the Universe. I have enjoyed and cherished every moment in this Journey & look forward to the opportunity of meeting and interacting with interesting People from across the Globe which will surely expand my horizon. In this process, Luxaire would need to grow 15X by 2025. This is our Vision and we believe that we can do it!
