Praveen ventured into the fitness industry not just to provide genuine products but took up the task of fighting the prevailing fake supplements in the health and nutrient market. His mission for starting Muscle and Strength was clear, to influence the unique member of the facility in such a way that the organization’s products will allow them to dream big and achieve their set goals with the right nutrients. Praveen began his journey by spearheading a family business of pharmaceuticals. Praveen has 10+ years of experience with eCommerce, where he dealt in various categories, from electronics to apparel, with over 6500 SKUs.
Speaking about the inception of the brand, Praveen says that he launched Muscle & Strength India in 2018 with the commencement of operations with one company store. Praveen states, “Our mission is to influence the unique members of our facility in a way that will allow them to dream big and achieve their goals with the right nutrition.” Praveen also reveals that they are continuing advertising stints since the inception and progressing further with the motto of providing genuine supplements to the market. He also states that his inspiration behind the venture was due to his tremendous interest in fitness.

In 2019, they started expanding through the Franchise retail stores network and reached 19 stores. They also began their eCommerce trading opportunities. Then in 2021, Muscle & Strength India Commenced with a Gym business, asset-light and franchise-led business model. The brand further introduced a white label with better margins improving gross margins at the unit level. According to Praveen, their vision is to become a leader in the fitness industry in the coming years. He says, “We will offer a superior athletic experience, rewarding members in an impactful way.” And the right guidance of health supplements.
Today, while most of the competitors still follow unauthentic sourcing, high pricing in a very price-sensitive market, and issues only bills, Muscle & Strength India is firmly placed in the sector with its ethical policies. A unique code for each product is provided with a hologram which can be verified online, “On our website,” says Praveen adding that lab test certificates are also offered.
Praveen further mentions that all their products are sourced from authorized importers only. “In our after-sales service, if the customer is unsatisfied, product verification is made available to them directly from the brand,” assures Praveen.

Regarding obstacles, Praveen says that challenges came in hiring a team, procuring products, and managing funds. That’s what comes to every startup. “Went through every challenge, and today we are into the top supplement stores in India having presence Pan India,” says Praveen.

In order to achieve his future goals, Praveen has made investments right from the time he came up with the idea of Muscle and Strength India. Some of the futuristic plans are to expand the retail store networks to 300 units by the year 2025. Apart from retail units, venturing deep into the fitness industry with Gym brands with more than 100 units by 2025.
Muscle & Strength India brand is further penetrating deeper into the fitness industry through e-com portals. “Doing this needs starting with more retail stores in the Gym accessories and sports accessories services, which we are focusing on,” concludes Praveen.
