Logistics Solutions Provider, “Agility” Partners with “va-Q-tec” to Open its First Temperature-Controlled Life Sciences Storage Centre in Hyderabad

Agility, a worldwide logistics solutions provider, has opened its first temperature-controlled life sciences storage and handling facility in collaboration with va-Q-tec in Hyderabad. The 6,000 square ft facility at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport will serve to pharma manufacturers in the city along with Pune, Goa,  Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam. The centre will provide preparation, conditioning and storage of pharmaceutical goods and will operate as a control tower for Agility Life Sciences customers in India.
Detlev Janik, CE of Agility South Asia, said, “This new centre will help the fast-growing Indian life sciences companies to meet the growing global demand for their products. Life sciences is one of the keystones of the Indian economy with exports anticipated to grow an almost 60% in 2017.”
The centre is going to operate as the primary warehouse for solutions from va-Q-tec, an innovative passive packaging company specializing in high-end, secured cold chain products. va-Q-tec’s containers and boxes can maintain the required temperature for five days or longer without any external energy supply.
Agility is a also a key player in the logistics and freight forwarders in India, where it operates from its 61 locations and controls over 1,50,000 sq mts of warehouse space covering all major airports, ports and inland locations in the country. In the pharmaceutical sector, Agility helps companies, store, distribute, move and manage goods and also helps Indian companies, who are looking forward to discover opportunities outside of the country.
