Krafton Reveals BGMI’s 2022 Roadmap

Krafton has finally unveiled the roadmap for the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports tournaments for 2022. After the huge success of 2021’s first-ever tournament, the BGMI’s developers decided to launch the online gaming event this year too.

In 2021, the online event had garnered 200 million views and 4,93,000 peak concurrent viewers. This year’s roadmap will consist of four major tournaments. The prize pool will be 6 crore rupees. The tournament will provide national and international opportunities for gamers.

The PUBG game, which was banned in India, made its comeback in July 2021 with a lookalike BGMI game. Krafton, at the time of BGMI’s launch, had made an announcement that they would be investing $100 million in India to boost the local gaming, esports, entertainment, and IT industries.

In seven months of its launch the BGMI game has become the most popular battle royale game in India. Such tournaments will help boosting the popularity of online gaming to the next level.
