Jimmy, tell us about your professional tenure in the industry.
I, Jimmy Kamboj, the Founder and CEO of Imenso Software, a rapidly growing game and software development company with competitive experience in developing top-rated e-learning games. Our company leverages robust technologies such as HTML5 for its game development process.
Over the past decade, we have developed IT solutions for big brands like Dominos, Marks & Spencer, Liberty, Allianz, and others. We have 80+ experts working in two locations in India, with Imenso’s head office located in Gurugram.
My primary role is to implement strategies for growth, build brand repertoire, participate in marketing meetings, maintain cash flow, and ensure that we make innovative solutions that create value for our clients. One thing that is always my priority is encouraging an employee-friendly culture in Imenso. As I always say that employees are the backbone of a service-based company.
I think to be a problem solver first and an entrepreneur later. Before starting Imenso, I worked with US-based companies, and after a few projects, I realized the massive gap in the overseas software development market.
I knew that more western companies and businesses would be looking for high-quality yet affordable remote IT solutions down the line. This is primarily because of the price differences of hiring employees, availability of talent, office maintenance prices, and other budget disturbing expenses.
When I started Imenso, I built a service company for global clients and led it with a passion for tech. Today, we have hundreds of excellent projects in our software, app, and game development portfolio.
What were the initial challenges you faced while venturing into the Game development?
One major challenge was building an impressive portfolio. We had the tech expertise, the business experience, and the team, but still, it is crucial to convey the value we were willing to provide.
That is why in the beginning, getting good projects took a while. We knew that securing a project with a well-established brand and the opportunity to work on an innovative product would give our team the initial boost.

What would be your advice to the aspirants willing to venture into Game development?
While starting a game development project, developers often start with a core idea and build the app from there. But sometimes, sticking to the original idea might lead you to create an incredibly complex game that users may find difficult to relate to.

Video games are the biggest revenue collectors in the modern app industry. In 2022 and beyond, we will witness more real-life experience infusing into online gaming. The industry is using technologies like 3D animations, voice recognition, gesture control, and readily available no-code design tools to deliver more digital experiences rooted in the physical world.
As disruptive technologies like Blockchain, NFT, AR, VR, IoT, and Augmented Reality is becoming mainstream, developers are looking for new ways to monetize gaming apps.
Collectibles, tokens, and player cards will be the new community definers. Players will identify more with the in-game avatars, and many large and small communities will be the major cause of sales and profits.

Where do you envision your company eventually, and how do you plan to embrace the changes happening in your industry?
Our primary focus in game development has been the ed-tech industry. We have developed interactive and feature-rich e-learning games using HTML5.
Moving ahead, we place ourselves coding all kinds of games for leading education institutes and schools. We plan to leverage trending technologies like NFTs, Blockchain, AR, VR, and others to offer school and university students game development services, defining new learning methods.
