ICICI Pru Life Q4 results into PAT increases 26% yearly by Rs 235 crore and VNB by 36%

For the months of January through March, ICICI Pru Life’s consolidated net profit increased by 26% to Rs 235 crore. This is in contrast to Rs 186 crore during the same time last year. The quarter’s new business premium increased by 18% to Rs 5,635 crore, up from Rs 4,788 crore the previous year.

The VNB, which represents profitability, increased to Rs 2,765 crore for FY23, a 28% year-over-year increase. During this time, the VNB margin also increased to 32%. Changes in the fundamental product mix are primarily to blame for the rise in VNB margin.

The company reported that persistence had significantly improved across all cohorts.
