The journey has been tremendous but it’s still just the beginning, India is still in its nascency in gaming and the platforms we put out today will hopefully in term be the platforms used tomorrow.

Considering the current scenario, what kind of challenges do you face and overcome?

The Indian Gaming industry experienced exponential growth during the pandemic as the number of mobile gamers increased by 250% during the same period. The recent uncertain regulations enforced by the governing authorities have resulted in untimely bans of two of the biggest games in India, namely, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Freefire

Once the framework for the regulations is addressed by the authorities, it is expected that growth will continue avoiding the hiccups previously experienced by the industry

Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies like Al and ML is impacting the Online Gaming space and how is your company adapting to the change.

Using recommendation engines has been the go-to for any social platform to personalize content for users.

Since we are a young start-up, the number of SaaS or machine learning as a service currently offered by cloud providers and other vendors is plenty.

We are currently in the process of implementing a hybrid training recommendations system which is a mix of vendors driven services and our in-house recommenders.

The efficiency of which system we use in the long term will be determined by the statistics that our product managers will decide on using A/B testing.

The barrier of entry for indie or independent developers and start-ups to use machine learning in production has significantly dropped over the last few years.

All features within our products have or will have some degree of ML involved.

What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the Gaming space?

One piece of advice I would give to entrepreneurs venturing into gaming is to do your own research and do it thoroughly. Without a doubt, passion for gaming plays a role as well, but you need to have identified your niche and your product-market fit which will only come from thorough qualitative market research.

Gaming is an industry that is growing at a staggering rate. The audience is already there, and their tastes are maturing almost daily. For a budding entrepreneur who is looking to make an impact in gaming, identifying your niche is a crucial step towards ensuring success and your ability to carve your niche will be dictated by the depth of your research.
