Honor Tech India is making a highly anticipated return to the Indian smartphone market after a gap of more than three years. The company, which had previously withdrawn its operations from India in 2020 following its separation from Huawei, is set to unveil its initial device in the country. The announcement was officially confirmed by Madhav Sheth, former CEO of Realme, who is now associated with Honor.

The upcoming launch holds excitement for Indian consumers as they anticipate the re-entry of Honor smartphones. The company’s return is expected to be facilitated by PSAV Global, the authorized distributor for Honor products in India, during its hiatus. PSAV’s established retail and distribution network is likely to continue supporting Honor’s presence in the Indian market.

While the specific launch date remains undisclosed, popular YouTuber Gaurav Chaudhary, also known as Technical Guruji, hinted that the unveiling of the first device, possibly the Honor 90, could occur in September. The Indian version of the Honor 90 is expected to closely mirror its global counterparts and will be available in appealing colors such as Peacock Blue, Diamond Silver, Midnight Black, and Emerald Green.

The Honor 90, previously launched in the Chinese market, features notable specifications. It boasts a 200-megapixel wide lens and a well-equipped camera setup on its rear panel. The smartphone showcases a curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display and offers expansive storage options of up to 512GB. Running on MagicOS 7.1, based on Android 13, the device supports features like Bluetooth 5.2, NFC capabilities, a Type C port, and a substantial 5,000mAh battery that supports rapid 66W charging.

As Honor makes its comeback to India’s dynamic smartphone landscape, consumers eagerly anticipate the official launch and pricing details of the Honor 90, as well as the brand’s resurgence in the market.
