Former Mahindra Group Chairman, Keshub Mahindra has perished

Pioneer Administrator of Mahindra Gathering, Keshub Mahindra dies on Wednesday morning. He would have been 100 this year, so he was 99 years old. Mahindra was born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on October 9, 923. He earned his degree from the American University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

He was the chairman emeritus of Mahindra & Mahindra from 1963 to 2012 when he retired. In 1947, he joined the company. From a Willys Jeep assembler in India, Mahindra transformed the company into a conglomerate during his nearly 50 years as chairman. While Mahindra & Mahindra is best known for its SUVs and SUV tractors, the company also operates in real estate, hospitality, and software services.

Mahindra, with total assets of $1.2 billion, was likewise the most seasoned Indian wealthy person, per a new Forbes report. Recently, he reappeared on the Forbes list of India’s Richest Billionaires for the year 2023.

Mahindra was an eminent humanitarian and part of different renowned boards of trustees and associations. The Government had appointed him to various committees, along with the Sachar Commission on Company Law and MRTP and the Central Advisory Council of Industries.
