Along with the benefits of the modern era, there are some significant drawbacks. People find it difficult to strike a work-life balance in their personal and professional spheres to cope with the fast-paced, hectic lifestyle demands.
Increasing stress, hypertension, and unhealthy habits such as consumption of junk food, insufficient sleep, always being on the go, and addiction to hazardous substances have all taken a toll on some of the most important aspects of people’s lives. Fertility and parenthood are the most affected aspects for couples.
According to Embryonic Fertility and IVF Centre’s Founder and Chief Embryologist, Dr Nikhil Gosavi, infertility is rising in many modern and traditional couples. Revealing some statistics, Dr Nikhil says, “About 12% to 15% of couples are unable to conceive after trying for more than a year. This is more prominent in couples waiting to have children later in their lives. One in four couples in developing countries is affected by infertility. This has been tracked to 48.5 million couples experiencing infertility worldwide.”
Dr Nikhil goes on to say that there is an urgent need for caring, compassionate, trustworthy, professional, and experienced Fertility solution providers who can give these parenthood-seeking couples hope through completely safe, reliable, scientific, and technological methods.
“Embryonic was founded to provide the best fertility solutions in its state-of-the-art facility in Pune, and we have been successfully providing result-oriented, reliable, and transparent solutions and treatments to hundreds of couples every year,” explains Dr Nikhil, who is responsible for ensuring that Embryonic Fertility and IVF Centre maintains one of the highest pregnancy rates.
An Everlasting Foundation of Trust
Dr Nikhil began his career as an embryologist in 2010 after finishing his postgraduate studies. After ten years of experience with a top IVF specialist in India, he decided to open his own IVF clinic in 2020. The Embryonic Fertility and IVF Centre was founded to provide advanced and precise infertility treatment at a reasonable cost.
Embryonic Fertility initially provided embryology backup to many IVF centers in Maharashtra before opening its advanced fertility center in the heart of Pune. In India, infertility rates have steadily increased, necessitating the need for and subsequent expansion of IVF treatment facilities. Embryonic Fertility Centre opened two branches in Pune and Narayangaon to meet the demand for fertility treatments.
An Affordable Hope of Joy
According to Dr Nikhil, most couples do not pursue IVF treatments due to the high cost of the procedure. Embryonic Fertility and IVF Centre has designed its system to provide free consultation, free Ultrasonographic evaluation, free semen analysis, and free blood investigations to help couples determine the root cause of their infertility.
“Once they understand the problem, their acceptance of the treatment grows. For this reason, we devised a concept to treat patients at a low cost in a large volume, which ultimately proved to be successful in achieving decent pregnancy rates and IVF outcomes,” Dr Nikhil explains.
A Compassionate Caring Team
He adds, “My passion for spreading happiness to childless couples motivated me to make my carrier in Infertility Treatment. I’ve seen the lack of awareness regarding Infertility Treatment and couples opting for unethical means and superstitious methods to bear a child is practiced more in the Indian scenario, which often leads to detrimental consequences.” And it’s very important to stop such malpractices, which can be achieved by creating awareness and expectance for Fertility Treatment.
The Perfect Fertility Specialist
Dr Nikhil Gosavi is one of India’s most renowned experts in the field of infertility treatment. He specializes in advanced micromanipulation techniques such as Trophectoderm Biopsy, Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Laser Assisted Hatching (LAH), Oocyte, Sperm, and Embryo Cryopreservation, and Genetic studies.
He has successfully given treatment to over 12000 couples and the joy of parenthood. Dr Nikhil has also taken the initiative to offer free IVF treatments to financially challenged couples and low-cost IVF treatments to over 300 infertile couples.
Tech-Empowered Treatments
Modern technological advancements have accelerated medical research and treatment’s scope, accuracy, and efficiency. Today, doctors and embryologists successfully identify the causes of infertility and offer precise solutions through specific treatments that effectively enable the pregnancy process through various research methodologies.
Artificial insemination of highly motile sperm in the uterine cavity is known as Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI). Embryonic Fertility and IVF Centre has a cutting-edge facility and a team of scientifically sound and skilled Andrologists, Fertility Specialists, and IVF nurses dedicated to providing patients with world-class IUI treatment as well as expert advice and guidance.
In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technology is available through its cutting-edge facility, which includes a modular IVF Laboratory and an OT. Enhanced with equipment’s which can condition and circulate air free of microbes and pollutants. As long as the air quality in IVF laboratories, operating rooms, and clinical procedure rooms are good, embryo quality, embryo survival and ultimately clinical results of IVF treatment can be met.
ICSI (Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection), at Embryonic Fertility and IVF Centre, patients with extremely low sperm count (Oligozoospermia), poor sperm morphology (Teratozoospermia and Globozoospermia), poor sperm motility (Asthenozoospermia), issues like Erectile Dysfunction, Retrograde ejaculation or Anejaculation, patients with advanced maternal age and infertility due to immunologic reasons. Its fertility experts and embryologists counsel and guide the patients to make the right decisions for their benefit and lower the stress associated with this fertility treatment procedure.
Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection (IMSI) and Physiologically Selected Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (PICSI)
Intra-Cytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection (IMSI) is the procedure in which interference contrast microscopy at high magnification of 6000X is used to observe for presence of nuclear vacuoles in sperm head which is an indicator for increased level of DNA Fragmentation in human spermatozoa/sperm. The sperm which is morphological best then utilizes for the purpose of micro-manipulation same as in ICSI procedure.
Physiologically Selected Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (PICS) is the procedure based on the fact the mature sperm head has a specific receptor that allow it to bind to Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the main component of Oocyte Cumulus Complex (OCC), this in contrast to immature sperms do not have this ability to bind HA. It has been scientifically proved that, sperms that bind to HA have completed the spermatogenetic process of remodeling the plasmatic membrane, cytoplasmic extrusion and nuclear maturity. This eventually results in low level of aneuploidies and miscarriages. These sperms which are bound to HA are then selected and utilized for the purpose of micro-manipulation same as in ICSI procedure.
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) is a procedure where vitrified embryos from the previous fresh IVF cycle are thawed and transferred back to the uterus. The embryologists freeze the embryos to reduce the risks of multiple pregnancies by transferring not more than two embryos at the same time.
Laser-Assisted Hatching (LAH) is the process based on the presumption of creating artificial openings (slits or holes) in the zona pellucida (outer covering of embryo), which aids in assisting the In-Vitro hatching process of embryos. This technique has been shown to increase implantation and pregnancy rates in patients with Advanced Maternal Age, Recurrent Implantation Failure, and Frozen-Thaw Embryo Transfers, as cryopreservation of embryos may lead to the zona hardening that may compromise the hatching and implantation process.
Blastocyst Embryo Transfer, also known as Advanced/Extended Embryo Culture, extends the embryo culture cycle of the fertilized embryos for five to six days in the laboratory. The facility uses Trigas Bench Top Incubators to provide optimal culture conditions, similar to those in the womb, for the embryos to grow to the Blastocyst stage. “This process allows us to select one or two healthy and most competent embryos for transferring it into the uterus and achieve better Implantation and pregnancy rates,” states Dr Nikhil.
