Digital transformation is an enthralling journey that provides the best possible experience for the end user. When going digital, every organization must first put themselves in the shoes of their customers before adopting technologically user-friendly online platforms such as web portals, mobile apps, and so on. Customer expectations, demands, and requirements vary depending on the company, industry, sector, and niche. A digital user interface in the hospital industry is not the same as one in the hospitality industry.

Understanding this distinction and designing humanized UX/UI models that are smooth, seamless, simple, easy to access and use, and glitch-free is where Divami has emerged as one of the best globally trusted brands by hundreds of businesses over the last decade. They are humanizing technology with impactful user experiences and helping their global clientele in creating digital footprints.

Guiding Divami’s passionate and a little crazy team of best professionals is the CEO, Naveen Puttagunta reveals how he made his firm’s vibrant culture full of customer-focused individuals who gel together like an inseparable team, he says, “I’m always up to discuss business at any hour of the day. But how about a quick game of squash or badminton? Like in childhood days, how we all had a definition of a ‘cool’ father, and I feel responsible to be the one. Since now I have a professional family of more than 50! If we ever discuss the business strategy, I can also give references from Game of Thrones. Because that’s how much both the business and fiction stories give me the adrenaline rush.”

Naveen has well over 20 years of experience in the software industry, with expertise in the areas of Availability, Databases, and User Experience. He led Product Management and Development at Sybase (now an SAP subsidiary) and GoldenGate Software (now Oracle) prior to launching Divami. Naveen has a business degree from the Indian School of Business (ISB). He also holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Houston, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from BITS, Pilani, India.

Naveen spoke in an enticing rendezvous with Insights Success, where he discussed candidly their accomplishment, present strategies, and future goals. Let’s hear it out in this exclusive interview.

Sir, please brief our audience about Divami, its USPs, and how you are currently positioned as one of the best Technology Solutions Providers.

Since we first entered the UI/UX design market in 2008, we have focused on empowering a wide range of clients with UX Strategy, User Research, UX and UI Design, and UI Development services. We work with customers to create ideas, but we also help them turn those designs into pixel-perfect screens.

We distinguish ourselves from other players in the business by placing a strong emphasis on user research to produce designs that are remarkable and distinctive. Because of this, some of the best B2B SaaS Platforms, companies that make enterprise software products, B2B SaaS platforms, consumer (including e-commerce) apps, and corporations going through digital transformation make up our clientele.

Tell us more about Divami’s offerings and what aspects make it stand out in the cutthroat competition.

We specialise in User Experience Design and Design-led Development for a wide spectrum of clients. More than just vendor-client relationships, one of the things that set us apart is that we develop genuine partnerships with our clients. Along with providing outstanding UX UI designs, we also take on a strategic advisory role and actively participate in their future endeavours. Instead of just completing the execution of a given project, we rather emphasize building long-term relationships.

Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies like AI and ML is impacting the Tech Solution space and how Divami is adapting to this changing scenario.

AI and ML can only help to replace repetitive tasks that don’t require much judgment and insight. UX, on the other hand, requires a lot of intellectual exercises. Such as; you don’t select font colours based solely on a concrete ‘psychological colour scheme list’. Or, you don’t decide how to divide it into grids based solely on the number of elements on a page. You don’t capture the sensitivity of certain content through robotic decision-making.

At the end of the day, the point is that AI/ML and the human brain should work together and not against each other.

Considering the current pandemic, what initial challenges did you face and how did you drive your company to sustain operations while ensuring the safety of your employees at the same time?

Since the majority of our clients are headquartered in the USA, our business model has not changed significantly during the coronavirus because we are used to the idea of remote working. But when the team had to switch to working remotely, we modified our project management and delivery methods to make sure everything went according to plan. We have made sure the overall business produces the best results for us and our clients through effective marketing, recommendations, and a strong outbound strategy.

What would be your advice to other tech business leaders who wish to make their organizational environments the best for their employees?

Different organizations are built around different cultures. So the strategies they need to adopt might be different from ours. Having said that, at Divami the leadership team instils a sense of ownership and belonging in our employees, which keeps them engaged and motivated at all times.

Because of this, the typical length of our employment is three to four years. We are happy to treat them as stakeholders rather than contributors. Therefore, I firmly think that if you keep them inspired to grow both personally and professionally and provide them with the tools to overcome obstacles, they will perform at their best.

How do you envision scaling Divami’s growth and prospects in the future?

As a company, we’re always evolving, both internally and externally. Over the next two quarters, we plan to double in size as our client base grows. We are also working on adapting to the future demands of the market and incorporating innovations such as AR/VR, Speech and Conversational UI.
