Company to give Two-Thirds of its Employees 25% more Salary in Base Pay

Employees Salary

As a sign of gratitude towards its employees, Cognizant said it would pay two-thirds of its employees an additional 25% of their base salary in their April salary. The company wants to appreciate the efforts of the employees for continuing to work during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Teaneck, New Jersey-headquartered company said this additional payout will be for the employees of India and the Philippines up to the Associate designation level. The payment would be rolled out in the April salary and would be reviewed each month as the situation requires.

Cognizant CEO, Brian Humphries said in an email to employees, “Despite this turbulence, which affects both you and your families, you have risen to the challenge of serving our clients with empathy, initiative, integrity, and courage-all while supporting and uplifting one another. I am deeply grateful to all of you for your daily acts of heroic leadership.”

Brian added that in the past few weeks they have enabled the majority of their offshore delivery teams to work from home by provisioning new laptops and encrypting desktops by moving them to their homes. They have also enabled the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), providing additional bandwidth connectivity and air cards. Proper client permissions are being taken along with the required security protocols.
