Companies are launching wellbeing allowances for their employees so that they can take care of the expenses related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of them are also providing their employees with the benefits of working from home for an extended period and creating dashboards for verified information regarding Covid-19.
Salesforce India is providing its employees with a one-time payout of Rs 15000 so that they can bear any expenses related to Covid-19. The company is also offering $250 for office tools and equipment so that the employees have what they need to carry out their work from home. It has also provided six weeks of paid time off to the working parents.
VMware has rolled out a wellbeing allowance of Rs 29565 for its 11000 employees in India. With this amount, employees can also pay for the vaccination of tnesleves and their family members.
Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance said that through the existing mediclaim policy, its employees under home quarantine can reimburse various costs incurred on actual up to Rs 20000 per employee. The company will further assists with faster admission and claim assistance, in case any of its employees need hospitalization.
Twitter India will reimburse all the expenses incurred by its employees while setting up their office at home. It is also reimbursing additional daycare expenses incurred by parents owing to the closure of normal daycare during the pandemic.
