Soon after the start of delivery of its electric scooter, Ola electric has started setting up the network for its charting ports. The current plan consists of setting up a network of more than 1,00,000 charging points.
This project will be the largest in the country for a two-wheeler. Apart from that Ola Electric is planning to cover 400 cities across India. In the coming, six to eight weeks the first set of charging stations is expected to be functional and operational. The project expansion aims for completing 4000 charging stations in the year. The charging station will be installed at Bharat Petroleum petrol pumps and residential complexes.
The company believes that the placement of charging points at petrol stations is perfect as it will motivate people to switch to electric vehicles. In the future, the company also aims its charging point station of other public places like commercial centres, offices, etc.
