Uber Technologies announced a new wave of hiring for its India tech centres on Wednesday, with ambitions to add 500 more engineers by December. The app-based mobility and delivery startup employs 1000 people in its Hyderabad and Bengaluru offices.
The business stated in a statement that the recruiting strategy demonstrates Uber’s commitment to India and its acknowledgment of the country’s engineering expertise.
According to the corporation, it expects to hire 500 more tech workers by December.
In 2021, Uber will hire 250 engineers for its India teams. The company has been growing its staff in all of its IT hubs across the world, including the United States, Canada, Latin America, Amsterdam, and India.
Uber opened a news floor at its Bengaluru tech center earlier this week.
