BVG India Limited had taken roots as a non-profit Bharat Vikas Pratishthan in 1993, by the then engineering student HR Gaikwad, Chairman and Managing Director, inspired by Swami Vivekananda, set out to help rural youth with funds for education and opportunities for jobs and livelihood. Two years later, Gaikwad was inducted as a graduate trainee engineer in Telco (now Tata Motors), where he earned management appreciation for saving huge costs through his innovative use of cables otherwise meant to be scrapped. He used this opportunity to request the management for some jobs for rural youth from his village. The management agreed and BVG began informally as 8-member in-house outsourced housekeeping outfit within Telco (now Tata Motors) in 1997, with Gaikwad still employed in the company.

Taking inspiration from Swami Vivekananda, BVG started its operations in 1997 to cater the cleaning service requirements of a local industrial establishment. Since then, with a commitment to quality work, BVG has grown by leaps and bounds. Today it is known to be amongst the best Facility Management brands, and has over 30,000 employees, BVG family is spread over 70 locations all over India.
Stopped Recommending and Started Hiring
HR Gaikwad before leaving TATA Motors built a strong team of 200 people and earned 56 lakh rupees in the year 2000. Venturing into Farm Keeping and Animal Keeping
With a focus on introducing modern scientific methods in a major way to improve agriculture & livestock, BVG has formed a joint venture with France based Eurial International for goat cheese which is a premier and high-end food product and also goat milk powder which is very beneficial for infants. The first of its kind in India namely “BVG Agro Safe” is a 100% Non-Carcinogen yet very effective and efficacious product for the Agricultural Sector. It is a Zero Residue formulation with no pesticides in it and helps greatly in increasing the absorption of existing water and nutrients in plants.

This is the world’s largest set up of its kind having 937 ambulances spread across Maharashtra, each with a doctor and life support equipment available 24 X 7 in the service of citizens within Maharashtra.
The service is manned through a central command center in Pune, equipped with latest technological tools to help the trained staff quickly record patient, location and emergency details. The command center then identifies and alerts the ambulance nearest to the patient. The in-ambulance doctor prepares for the emergency and the ambulance sets out to rescue the patient in distress. On the same model, Dial 100 has been started for MP Police which has been contacted by 25 lakh citizens.
Ensuring Beauty through Landscape and Gardening Services
BVG provides a full-fledged service to beautify cities, townships, roads, factory lands, etc. with the garden development and landscaping services. The BVG landscaping services have been ensuring the beauty of the various building, streets, and parks in the cities. In the year 1999, BVG started its own horticulture and agriculture division on contracts, and eventually gained its reputation in this discipline of landscaping and gardening. It has completed more than Rs.125 Cr of various garden development works.

Awards and Achievements
Bharat Vikas Group (BVG), has bagged the award for Facility Management Firm of the Year 2017 at the ‘9th Realty Plus Excellence Awards (West) 2017’. Revolutionizing the Future of Indian Agriculture by Increasing the Yield
HR Gaikwad’s bigger plan is to double the income of farmers from agriculture, a goal espoused by the government, with products such as fertilizers, crop nutrients and crop protectors. He commits to a minimum 50% yield increase in one crop season and double in three crop seasons with the use of BVG Life Sciences products. The group company recently launched some products that Gaikwad said can revolutionize Indian agriculture. They include Comfert, a product tested by the Mumbai Veterinary University, which promises to increase the fertility of cows and buffaloes.
