In an interview with Insights Success, Anandmai shares valuable facts highlighting The Purple Lotus’s significance in the mental and emotional health niche.

What professional qualities and values do you think your clients, colleagues, and employees admire in you the most?

I am often referred to by many names, such as non-judgmental, empathetic, caring, and sweet. However, my favourite moniker is “Our Safe Place.” This is because I am honoured to be able to create a space where individuals feel secure enough to open up about their deepest, darkest, and scariest thoughts, desires, and memories.

As a safe place, I strive to provide a warm, welcoming environment where individuals can feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgment or criticism. Everyone deserves a safe and supportive space where they can be themselves and explore their innermost thoughts and emotions.

I understand that it takes much courage to share one’s vulnerabilities with another person, and I do not take that trust lightly. It is a privilege to be able to hold space for others in this way, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help individuals feel seen, heard, and understood.

In short, as “Our Safe Place,” I am dedicated to providing individuals with a secure and compassionate space where they can explore their innermost selves and feel supported along the way.

Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies impacts your industry and how The Purple Lotus is adapting to the change?

Answer: In the face of unprecedented times like the COVID pandemic, technology has emerged as a saviour for many of us. At our organisation, we have leveraged the power of technology to reach and help people from all corners of the globe. Thanks to technology, we can now support individuals in even the remotest of areas, something impossible before.

Automation in mental and emotional health has the potential to transform how we provide care to individuals. By harnessing the power of technology, we can streamline processes, reduce wait times, and ensure that individuals receive the care they need when they need it. We are excited about the possibilities that technology presents and believe that it has the potential to revolutionise mental and emotional health care for the better.

Ultimately, our goal is to ensure everyone has access to the care they need, regardless of their location or circumstances. Technology is a powerful tool that can help us achieve that goal.

Considering the current industry scenario, what kind of challenges do you face, and how do you drive The Purple Lotus to overcome them?

Anandmai, the founder of The Purple Lotus, is candid about the challenges she faced while trying to ensure her organisation’s success. As an entrepreneur, she knows all too well the fear of failure that can accompany the process of bringing an idea to life. From the initial concept to the final execution, the journey is fraught with emotions like anxiety, doubt, fear, and bias.

Even with a clear vision and a solid plan, self-doubt can creep in, leading to feelings of instability and even terror. Friends and family may question the wisdom of taking such a risk, causing further uncertainty. When dreams and aspirations seem to be falling apart, it’s easy to feel inadequate and wonder if success is even possible.

However, being on this journey alone can actually be a positive thing. It allows you to take control of your decisions and chart your own path forward. You have the power to choose how to respond to setbacks and challenges. By embracing the opportunities and the obstacles, you can emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.
