Amazon India Announces the Launch of Start-up Mentoring Program Season 2.0

Amazon India, in its efforts to give a boost to emerging start-up businesses in India, has announced the launch of the second season of “The Global Selling Propel Accelerator.” The mentoring program is designed for start-ups in India to get a global stage.

Amazon India assists start-ups in gaining recognition in the consumer products space to establish a global identity to create international level brands. Participants can win $100,000 from Amazon as well as receive free Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits worth up to $10,000.

The program will allow start-ups to present their business plans to Amazon’s partner VC firms like Accel, DSG Consumer Partners, Fireside Ventures, and Sequoia Capital India. Kunal Kapoor, Bollywood actor and angel investor has joined the program as a mentor.

Amit Agarwal, Amazon SVP for India and Emerging Markets stated that “The Global Selling Propel Accelerator is designed to provide emerging platforms an opportunity to bring their business propositions to life and create globally popular brands from India.”
