IL&FS Engineering bags INR 515.47 crore worth contracts

IL&FS Engineering Services announced that it has received a letter of intent for integrated power development works and Rural Electrification (RE) worth INR 515.47 crore in West Bengal.
Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), these two projects have come and West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) is commissioning the additional integrated power development scheme (IPDS) project.
Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) is providing funding for the DDUGJY-RE contracts while the Power Financial Corporation (PFC) is providing funding to the IPDS contracts.
The total value of the contracts makes to total INR 515.47 crore with 24 months of completion schedule of works. The company had emerged as the lowest bidder for the mentioned projects in December 2016.
IL&FS has electrified more than 2,500 villages in these areas and is already working in 24 Paraganas South and North for RE works for WBSEDCL worth around INR 657 crore.
Meanwhile, with the contract value of Rs 159.49 crore, the IPDS contract work will be executed at package no 10 for 24 Parganas South. All these projects will be completed in 24 months.
