Women Empowerment: Salute all the Women

Women Empowerment

Women are Born Leaders

Women are untapped reservoirs of talent in the world, be they homemakers, teenagers, or girl children going to school. Today, women have broken boundaries, preconceived notions and old paradigms. For instance, our very own P.V. Sindhu, Mary Com, Phogat sisters, Hilary Clinton, Sarojini Naidu   Indian American economist Gita Gopinath- also known as the fiscal scholar. Women are holding important positions in every walk of life because I belief where there women their prosperity, progress, positivity and the will that everything is possible and nothing is impossible because the word impossible itself means I’m possible you just need to add and apostrophe ‘in it. They are strong, they are invincible, they are women. They can do anything.

Women of today: Powerful, Decisive, Kind, Caring yet Authoritative

  • Yet after so much of progress education, equality, In India, women are discriminated and considered as the weaker section of the society. Right from the time they are born they are discriminated against. The question is Why? Are they any less then our male counterparts? 700 thousand girls are killed in the womb. A matter of female infanticide, from there onwards it’s a uphill struggle for the infant girls.
  • I want to ask everyone that ‘What kind of India of India and what kind of world do we want to give back to ourselves, to our children, especially the youth as they tend to adapt what they see.
  • It is indeed a privilege to pen down my thoughts and open your eyes to the India and to the world.

Icon of Women empowerment: Women support women

  • Today everyone has a cellphone in their hands and any news can be googled in seconds so why not motivate and put in our best foot forward towards bringing transformational change, to start with our society, our city, where we respect and value not just women each and everyone. A little gesture of kindness, a please, thank you, sorry, a compliment, a motivation quote can brighten a person’s day make them highly enthusiastic towards achieving one’s goals.
  • The women in the world truly stand out as light houses for millions of women across the world. But not to forget the saying, where there are women there is prosperity. We should forget that marriage is a beautiful between and man and woman which works well only if both works togethers supporting and strengthening each other. Today we as daughters, sisters, mothers, are doing well and are free to make our own choices only because we are strongly supported by our parents, family members and are mentors. It is their vision and far-sightedness that has made us who we are today.
  • I feel privileged to be able to share my thoughts about women on this world platform as media being the fourth pillar of the nation has the power freely share our ideas and thoughts about whatever we think. To be able to pen down my thoughts and share my feelings is an overwhelming experience.

But why do I support women and what does it mean to me. Although being an HR I feel             is my duty towards the society to uplift millions of women India. Through its initiatives in health, education, rural transformation, disaster response and sports.  We are fortunate to be groomed as self – reliant, educated, free- willed citizens of the country. I am proud to grow up in a house that was free from gender bias. But unfortunately, unlike me there are millions of women as yet do not have access to basic necessities like healthcare, education, water, sanitation in the rural areas where although there has been awareness but it’s still not enough. It is a matter of concern that even nearly 45% of girls in India get married before the age of 18. 70% of women are not part of the workforce. All these numbers paint a grim picture. It could have been you; it could have been me. As a female, a woman, I find this very painful to accept girls are being neglected when unwell and not given the priority for medical treatment in the family as compared to boys leading to high infant mortality rates. Large number of girls drop -out off schools because of lack of sanitation facilities like separate toilets for women. Here again their progress in education takes a back seat.

What kind of India and what kind of world are we planning for ourselves and our children. India has the largest number of women in comparison to any county in the world. A world where women lag is not only unequal but also an unjust world. We cannot accept a world like today. I am still positive and believe that India has a rich tradition of worshipping Goddesses, we worship Goddess Lakshmi for wealth, we worship Goddesses Saraswati for knowledge, we worship Goddess Durga who destroys all evils.

We have a proud history of women leader frow all walks of life. These women make us belief that every woman is capable of whatever they wish to be it productive. They just needed to be recognized, valued and appreciated. A right direction can enlighten everyone especially to ignite the spark of ambition in us women as well as all of us.

To name a few dynamic women leaders like Jhansi ki Rani, Mother Teresa, Queen Elizabeth, Indira Gandhi, Sarojini Naidu, IPS Kiran Bedi , Kalpana Chawla (Astronaut),and to the present times our renowned President Madam Draupadi Murmu is the finest example, be it in the field of Media Miss World Aishwarya Rai, to our current Miss World from Czech Republic Krystyna Pyszkova, philanthropist Mrs. Nita Ambani, our educationists teachers, professors , International Human Rights Association – Brand Ambassador Usha Singh from Jamshedpur ,Jharkhand , Devika Singh (INTUC) women’s wing head, and all are educationists , teachers , professors, mentors , our mothers.

According to the IMF – International Monetary Fund, if the number of women would join the work force, then India’s GDP would grow by 27%.

Henceforth, empowered Indian women mean a stronger and better India.

Lastly it has been rightly said that if you educate a man, you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman, you educate an entire generation as well a nation.
