Bajaj Auto is gearing up to introduce its inaugural CNG-powered motorcycle, potentially named Bruzer, into the Indian market by June, as announced by Rajiv Bajaj, the Managing Director of Bajaj Auto. Targeting fuel-conscious consumers, Bajaj is reportedly developing a series of CNG motorcycles, albeit at a higher price point compared to their petrol counterparts.

While specific technical specifications of the CNG-powered bike remain undisclosed, media outlets suggest it’s internally referred to as the Bruzer E101, anticipated to feature a 110cc engine. Production of the new motorcycle is slated to take place at Bajaj’s manufacturing facilities in Aurangabad and Pant Nagar, with an estimated annual production capacity of 200,000 units.

CNG, recognized for its cost-effectiveness and eco-friendliness, serves as an attractive alternative fuel for internal combustion engines, particularly for routine road travel. Beyond transportation, CNG finds utility in industrial settings, serving as a stationary energy source or as a contingency supply in case of gas network shutdowns or accidents.

Analysing Advantages

– It is an environmentally friendly fuel, promoting ecological sustainability.

– Widely recognized as the cleanest fuel for combustion engines in contemporary times.

– Economical, thereby contributing to savings for both households and businesses.

– Versatile usage with a readily accessible infrastructure including filling stations and pressure trucks.

CNG fuel stands out as one of the top alternative options to conventional petrol, offering enhanced mileage and minimal emissions. Currently utilized in various vehicles such as three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and larger commercial vehicles like trucks and buses, there’s a growing demand for CNG adoption in two-wheelers due to their sheer numbers and the paramount need for fuel efficiency.
