Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group disclosed about his ports-to-power conglomerate will build three Giga factories as part of a $70 billion investment in green energy by 2030.Â
He mentioned on Wednesday the three Giga factories will be manufacturing solar modules, hydrogen electrolyzers, and wind turbines respectively.Â
By 2030, Adani group aims to become the world’s top renewable energy manufacturer increasing investments across the green energy value chain.Â
Asia’s richest man Gautam Adani said while receiving the prestigious USIBC Global Leadership Award, “The Adani Group has already committed USD 70 billion (for climate change and green energy). This will see us building three Giga factories in India leading to one of the world’s most integrated green-energy value chains. These Giga factories will “extend from polysilicon to solar modules, complete manufacturing of wind turbines, and the manufacturing of hydrogen electrolyzers.”Â
He added this will generate an additional 45 GW of renewable energy to bolster the Adani group’s existing 20 GW capacity, in addition to 3 million tons of hydrogen by 2030.Â
