The Telecom Minister of India, Mr.Ashwini Vaishnaw said that “Government is confident of resolving the problems related to high spectrum pricing with the industry.” The auction for Spectrum and 5G airwaves will be held by June 2022.
Minister also said that commercial services rollout would be expected from August-September 2022. The industry’s demands for reduction in spectrum prices. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India [TRAI] has suggested to change the prices and the next step is to take approval of Digital Communication Commission (DCC).
The approval will take the span of one week, according to the process, as the back reference goes to TRAI. The Minister said that the world has accepted the Telecom Services as the necessity and a tool for development and the ministry has worked on notice inviting tender.
