Pune, April 14, 2022: The National Educational Policy 2020 formulated in tandem with the National Council of Educational Research and Training focuses primarily on the holistic development of an individual from its nascent stages of schooling.

From the conventional system of rote learning, this new educational framework has been put down with the purpose of developing global citizens with character, that are capable of rational thought and action. It also endeavours to works towards helping children acquire and instil in them the feelings of compassion and empathy, courage and resilience along with some basic scientific temper, creative imagination, with sound ethical moorings and values.

Additionally, it aims at producing engaged, productive, and contributing individual citizens that can contribute in building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as envisaged by the Constitution of India.

Towards that aim, the Indian institutions had been given a mandate to become institutions of warmth, inclusion and acceptance; providing a safe and stimulating learning environment for one and all. The Lexicon Group of Institutes have continued to grow on these lines and has also ensured it provides a wide range of learning experiences to its students along with the promise of a good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources that present a conducive environment for learning.

The NEP 2020 also expects that institutions work in a manner that they can provide a seamless integration and coordination across allied and non-allied institution, and across all stages of education. Speaking on adopting the NEP 2020 guidelines into the Lexicon educational framework, Mr. Nasir Shaikh, Group CEO, The Lexicon Group of Institutes, MultiFit and EduCrack, says, that, “As a group of institutions that places ‘people first’, we at The Lexicon group have created educational facilities that can support the respective milestones for growth for a child- from primary to secondary, to high school, college and then specialised training (KG to PG) till the individual is ready to step out in the real world as Day Zero Professionals.

Keeping the vision of the NEP2020 in mind, The Lexicon Schools make use of a curriculum and pedagogy that helps to develop among the students a deep-rooted pride in being Indian, not only in thought, but also in spirit, intellect, and deeds, as well as to develop knowledge, skills, values, and dispositions that support responsible commitment to human rights, sustainable development and living, and global well-being, thereby reflecting a truly global citizen.”
