Our clinic’s name is Dentrelief Dental Clinic. It is located in the heart of the city. At Park Circus, Seven Point, Behind Arsalan Restaurant, in this city of joy, Kolkata, West Bengal.
We established our clinic in 2016. Many people usually compare me with the legendary Dr R. Ahmed. Though flattering, Dr R. Ahmed was one-of-a-kind of a person. We, at our clinic, strive for his vision to provide the best dental treatment with painless experience along with aesthetic touch.

Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies like AI and ML is impacting the healthcare sector and how are you adapting to the change?
Modern technologies are always good to learn about and adapt in your setup. It is better to adapt the change as fast as you can, because just like Darwin’s Theory “survival of the fittest”, is what remains in the market.
So, learn and adapt to upgrade and provide excellent treatment to your patients.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one the best things to use in today’s practice, where you reduce the number of sittings and provide instant treatment for everything with single visit dentistry.
Considering the current pandemic, what initial challenges did you face and how did you drive the clinic to sustain operations while ensuring the safety of your employees at the same time?
Considering the current pandemic, during the early days, we had to keep the clinic closed to ensure everyone’s safety, but as soon as the government allowed healthcare professionals, we got back to our battlefield. I always kept in my mind, to strictly follow all the SOPs like proper sterilization, sanitization, temperature check every day, PPE and regular RT-PCR test for all staff and doctors. Also, fumigation and air purifier are installed in our clinic and all other necessary steps have been fulfilled already.
What would be your advice to the young generation who aspire to become childcare specialists?
My advice to the young dentist will be, to have patience with children and do not rush into the treatment. First, try to get friendly with them and enter their comfort zone. Then, they will allow you to work. Afterwards comes your role, to provide quality care and treatment with your skilful hands.
How do you envision scaling your clinic’s operations and offerings in 2022 and beyond?
We are planning to expand our clinic with multiple branches in 2022, and even upgrade ourselves more and more, to keep all our patients happy and provide a pain-free beautiful smile to them.
What are your suggestions for parents in taking care of their children’s health in a post pandemic world?
Parents play a vital role in taking children’s care, whether it is dental care or general wellbeing.
First and foremost, do what you want your child to do. Be an idol for them.
Second, a few things which can be done to keep a child’s dental care proper is always visiting a dentist every six months.
Take proper care of milk teeth from the beginning, brush with your child so that they also brush.
Wipe the gum pads of neonates after feeding.
The most important tip for everyone – “always rinse after having anything”,
Brush twice, daily, morning time to keep you friends, nighttime to keep your teeth.

The main person behind Dentrelief Dental Clinic – Park Circus, is the man with great vision, Dr Rakay Ahmed, Founder and Chief Dentist. He with his ambition to provide better dental care has made the clinic what it is today. His excellent nature and leadership quality have helped the clinic to craft out a niche for itself.
He started his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2011 from Teerthanker Mahaveer Dental College & Research Centre, Moradabad. And completed his studies in 2016, with a Silver Medal to his credit.
Soon after that, he came to Kolkata with these great visions in his mind and started Dentrelief Dental Clinic.
Along with this, he is also a senior consultant in Apollo Clinic, maintaining and managing the admin part and the clinical part all by himself and became quite an eye-catching person there as well, within a few years.
He is also a trained and certified CEREC SPECIALIST (CAD-CAM SPECIALIST), specialised in providing single visit dentistry.
