Enlighten us with the journey of your brand so far.

BusinessOptions.in is something that comes out of my passion; finance is in my soul. Many of us trade in stock market but hardly any one of them read their AGM report, I love to read AGM reports, my father used to invest in stocks as many middle-class people do, Reliance is his favourite stock, and we receive AGM reports for Reliance every year. It was in early 2005-2006. When I go through these reports, I understand one thing that it is only VISION that makes you Big and nothing else. So nowadays when we consult business owners, I ask them about their Vision for their Brand/Business/StartUp.

Vision is something that should not be a one liner, it consists of your goal and pathway to achieve it with proper financial projections and contributors who can help you in achieving that.

I personally follow same formula. My Vision Statement gets ready on January 1 every year. This year itself we have planned to come up with a new Portal dedicated to promoting Manufacturing in India and that will be a one-stop solution for business owners who want to enter manufacturing. Give a summary of the key personality(s) life, who helped in making your company the brand it is today.

Identifying any one person will be unfair to others. Coming from a typical Marwari family, business sense is in the blood. In a Marwari family our learning starts from childhood, doing MBA (Finance) adds more exposure to it. I want to thank each and every one in my family and my friends, our clients who believe us, our employees our Brands, our associate partners and all those who always supported us in our journey.

What kind of challenges has your brand and its team faced during the scaling of the business?

Business expansion is very critical and comes with responsibilities; we not only have to work on Business Models but also on Business owners as expansion is totally a different game. Many of our services are rare; there is need but people are not aware of these kind of services like Biz Buy/Sell because it is different from Property Buy/sell as there might be so many reasons for Biz-exits like financial reason, health issues, generation issues. “The son does not want to do his father’s business because he wants to do something new” is the most common reason for exits, and we must educate people about these kind of services through various platforms.

Being on the journey of becoming a renowned brand, how technological advancements and its knowledge has enhanced the business of your company?

Technology and social media are now an essential part of your Business. Zoom, Google meet, Microsoft teams have helped people meet face-to-face. We are very active in adaption. There are lot many platforms from automated meeting scheduling to signing legal forms. Everything you think of is available, kudos to techies.

As one of India’s leading brands, what are you doing differently than the rest of your competitors?

We constantly analyze the market dynamics, understand the market needs and update our service Portfolio. We are coming up with India’s Largest Manufacturing Facilitation portal that will help Investors/Business Owners to take appropriate decisions based on AI. It is an end-to-end portal that will help business owners to hasten their plans and even help governments to promote manufacturing in their territories.

What does the future look like for your brand in terms of growth and expansion?

BusinessOptions.in is doing great; we have routed business investments of around Rs 80cr in 2019 only in MP. That surely brought job opportunities for around 300-350 people in 2019. In 2020 we routed an investment size of around Rs 30-35cr and got hit due to the Pandemic. In 2021 we again have mandates of above Rs 100cr that will surely generate jobs for more than 500+ people. I am amazed to see the strong entrepreneurship instinct in people and their commitments.

The future is very bright, and we are aiming to bring one more platform for business facilitation. As I mentioned earlier it will be dedicated to small to medium manufacturing only. Due to the conflicts with China, the government is also promoting #Aatmanirbhar Bharat. India will surely become the manufacturing hub for many sectors. Manufacturing will bring in a lot more jobs in India. You will see in coming decade that products we import from other countries will be manufactured in India with better quality and pricing.

How has your brand withstood the complexities of the industry that you are catering to in this ongoing pandemic? As one of the leading brands, what steps have you taken towards tackling all the challenges, meanwhile safeguarding your employees, and taking care of your clientele’s needs?

The pandemic has brought challenges that no one had ever thought of. Sectors like F&B, Fashion, Retail, Hospitality, Gyms, Salons, Travel & Tourism were affected badly. For us as a Business Consulting Company, it brings lots of new opportunities. We have seen shifts in the mindsets of business owners.

In 2020 when states were locked down, we analysed the coming demand of business owners as most of them shifted to essentials and Food Processing Industry. As a Leading Brand in Central India, we still manage to route more than Rs 45cr of Investments in central India.

What advice would you like to give to the young entrepreneurs who are looking to grow their brand in this competitive market?

For young entrepreneurs I always say a few things that it is not always the idea that matters but it is execution that matters. You might share the same idea with competitors as India will always remain a competitive market but how beautifully you are executing your Business Plan will take you forward. Secondly, risk is always associated with business as without risk there is no business. Taking calculative risks will increase your chance for success. Also, try to bring some innovation in your products or services as it will help in long term penetration in the market.

What according to you is personal branding?

Personal Branding nowadays has become essential for small scale businesses as it helps you to generate enquiries for your business. It will help you create awareness about your brand and increase your brand visibility. But if you are planning for a bigger game give limited exposure for personal branding and focus more on your work and commitments to your customers and clients.

According to you, what are the essentials for being a leading brand?

Work commitments are the utmost priority, as we deal into kind of business where big capital is involved. Sometimes we are building business for our clients from scratch, like one of our clients is coming up with Hyper Market in an area of around 60,000sqft which was to be launched in April this year but due to lockdowns we had to postpone it. As a leader we have to be ready for every kind of situations and constantly update your Biz Plans and get ready for upcoming challenges.
