Indians who have been fully vaccinated with Covishield or any other UK-approved vaccine will not be quarantined when they come in the UK starting October 11, the High Commissioner to India announced on Thursday, putting an end to a row over what was perceived as unfair application of COVId-19 quarantine rules.
“From the 11th of October, there will be no quarantine for Indian visitors to the United Kingdom who have been properly vaccinated with Covishield or another UK-approved vaccine. Thank you to the Indian government for your close collaboration over the previous month,” Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner to India, tweeted on Thursday.
