The Beginnings

Started with the vision to be the most valued technology-enabled logistics company in the world; today, with over 95 centers across 50 cities, WOW is clocking 40,000 – 45,000 deliveries a day. It offers complete end-to-end logistics solutions to e-commerce players for deliveries within India. This includes First Mile pickups, Intra and Intercity movement, Last Mile deliveries, Cash-On-Delivery, Digital Payment collections with real-time visibility and updates through robust technology and infrastructure.

Founders

The company was Co-founded by Jayesh Kamat, Mazhar Faruqi, and Sandeep Padoshi who bring in more than 6 decades of cumulative work experience. This trio comes with a unique talent and experience and are the three pillars of WOW Express.

Jayesh is an MBA graduate from Sheffield UK and has over 2 decades of work experience. He has worked with companies such as UPS, Singapore Post, Amex, ICICI Bank and looks after Business Development, Finance, IT, and investor relations.

Mazhar carries over 25 years of experience in the industry with global logistics players such as DHL, TNT, UPS, and Singapore Post. He manages operations at Bombino Express and looks up to network expansion at WOW.

An IIM A alumnus, Sandeep has more than two decades of experience with companies like Reliance, Reader’s Digest, Guthy Renker LLC, and RPG Retail. He was the Sr. Vice President of Operations and E-commerce at ACK Media prior to co-founding WOW Express.

The USP

WOW Express is one of the first companies in the country to have created a seamless technology that caters to the logistics needs of diagnostics companies. The diagnostics logistics business today is a $300mm market and is growing 15% annually. After carefully identifying and studying the requirements of the Indian diagnostics market, WOW is today the largest organized player in the intracity blood sample collection service.

Besides, today, every customer wants timely and quicker delivery of goods. And, at WOW Express they endeavors to enhance customer experience by reducing the product delivery cycle without passing the incremental logistics cost to the end customer.
