In a candid conversation with Insights Success, Mr. Vikram, the Founder of DotWeb gave some insightful answers highlighting the influences made by the company to take UX/UI industry to the next level.
1.Kindly brief us about the company and what kind of services/products the company provides to the clients?
We are a User Experience and digital product development company. We provide UX service to host of Indian and overseas product companies.
- What was underlying bedrock idea behind incorporating the company?
There is a dearth of UX based product development companies in India. Most of the time product owners are not aware about the importance of the UX aspect of their product and the kind of value addition it can do to their product, Our experienced UX team can ensure the product owner benefits multiple times if the product is developed UX way.
- Brief us about the Founder/CEO/COO of the company? Please share his/her contributions towards the company and the industry.
Vikram Founder of DotWeb has played a pivotal role in steering the company from its startup days to the current stage. His vision of building a strong UX team lead to DotWeb turning into a boutique IT product development company in India.

In the UX space DotWeb has been instrumental in solving some difficult usability issues pertaining to the visually challenged users. Our pioneering work in this area has been applauded by the organizations working for the visually challenged people. How technology is changing the UX/UI sector? What challenges are you facing as a UX/UI designer company?
As *Golden Krishna said “The Best Interface Is No Interface”, now with the rapid emergence of technologies, UX is no longer limited to mapping the end-user experience to a visual interface and has definitely become more challenging. Whether voice interfaces or any other technology, creating a strategy for a possibly delightful experience of using the product is the main expectation out of UX professionals.
With these changing trends, it has definitely become difficult to find quality UX professionals as the expectations have now changed and the market lacks qualified UX professionals.

- Share your point of view on the current scenario of the sector and its future.
UX is about the experience of any product and not necessarily digital in nature or something that has a digital UI associated with it. But over a period of time, UX has become a term associated with designing the UI of any apps or sites on Mobile, Web, Smart Watches, Tablets, etc.Off late there seems to be a new topic gaining attention due to certain sections of the designing community –Â UX is going to end due to the emerging technologies!
Well as we see it, even if you limit UX to the digital world, the usage of digital gadgets are not going to decrease and would only go up in the future. Yes, new technologies are emerging but with it, is increasing the need for more UX professionals. Whether its IoT, AI, VR, MR, AR, voice interfaces or any other emerging technology, for understanding the end user’s emotions, expectations, human behaviour or creating an interaction with the technology, visually or otherwise, and delivering a great experience to your customers/end-users, you will need an experience professional (UX).

We are way ahead of our competition in adopting and deploying the latest innovations in the UX and IT product development domains. We are confident our approach will ensure we are always preferred UX vendor for product development companies in India and abroad

Our innovation lab is working on few innovative IT products in the healthcare and Agriculture domain. Also we are constantly working on onboarding bright sparks who are passionate about UX and product development. Our vibrant team will ensure we are always on top of the mind for product owners who seek UX centric product development.
