Karan Chauhan & Vivek Parmar: Two Ingenious Leaders who Bring New Insights in the Arena of Outsourcing

Karan Chauhan & Vivek Parmar

In business, a vision is a realistic, convincing and attractive depiction of where you want to be in the future. Vision gives direction, sets priorities, and provides an indicator so that you can tell that you’ve achieved what you wanted to achieve.
Leadership is proactive – problem-solving, looking ahead, and not being satisfied with things as they are. Once they have developed their visions, leaders must make them compelling and convincing. A compelling vision is one that people can see, feel, understand, and embrace. Effective leaders provide a rich picture of what the future will look like when their visions have been realized. They tell inspiring stories and explain their visions in ways that everyone can relate to.
The dynamic and visionary duo; Vivek Parmar and Karan Pal Singh Chauhan, Co-founders of 31 Parallel, accomplishes the company’s success by empowering stupendous knowledge through all departments and functions. Karan and Vivek jointly engage for all client interactions and lead the company’s marketing, sales and business development initiatives.
Being a corporate lawyer, Karan has worked with India’s premier law firms for over a decade. He completed his bachelor’s degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and did his Bachelor’s in Law from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi and Master’s in Law in the UK. Inspirational Elements which Drives the Organization Ahead
While articulating about the company, Karan and Vivek highlight two factors that drove them to expand their business horizons:
Creation of Job Opportunities: 31 Parallel is presently trying to solve the problem of unemployment. They want to provide education towards youth and women in the (Tier II and Tier III) towns (encompassing the hill states of Himachal Pradesh and neighboring Uttarakhand and stretching up to Punjab) through the use of technology. Despite having an excellent educational infrastructure, very high literacy rate, and a huge talent pool, Himachal Pradesh lacks industries and opportunities. With the help of its business partners, 31 Parallel is slowly trying to turn the tide.
Developing itself can rule the Market:  The management team of 31 Parallel strives to be a market leader. Their core intention is to make 31 Parallel a force to be reckoned with in the north India BPO landscape and disrupt the entire Tier II/III cities/Rural Outsourcing space.
“Positive Action and Positive Thinking is the Secret of Success,” says Karan. He believes that self-motivated persons can easily touch the cherry of success because they never feel afraid to test the failure. He also says, “success comes with Competency and experience in the services the organization offers, vision and long-term plans, experienced supervisors and support staff along with a dedicated workforce, Strong orientation and ongoing training programs.”
Awards & Achievements
31 Parallel was also recently awarded the STPI Award 2018 for ‘Best Performer in Incubation’ at TiECon-2018 in Mohali. The event was organized by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), a society set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India along with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), which was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region.
Words for Upcoming Entrepreneur
There is no substitute for experience and hard work. It is also important to understand that an organization’s growth and success cannot (and should not) be due to the efforts of one person or a small group of people. Effort and hard work has to be acknowledged and rewarded at all levels. A dedicated workforce that embodies the vision of the organization is integral to the success of that enterprise. You cannot succeed alone.” states Vivek.
Elucidating the Future
The evolution of the entire Tier II/Tier III ecosystem is crucial for India’s growth. As employment and spending power in India increases, domestic demand will also proportionally grow. 31 Parallel is poised to meet this demand.  31 Parallel anticipate becoming a 600+ member organization in next two years dealing with more complex and high-end work with a niche in the Financial and Legal outsourcing space They are intending  to lead the entire Tier II/Tier III BPO space in India with their quality of work and competitive pricing.
In 2019, they would like to spread to other district headquarters in Himachal like Solan and Nahan, and going to be partner with the Government on certain projects. They are developing some technology products for the benefits of their clients as well.
