Brief us about the CEO/Founder of Schneider Electric India Private Limited.
Schneider Electric, was founded in 1836 by Eugène Schneider. Schneider Electric’s present CEO and Chairman & CEO is Jean-Pascal Tricoire.
Schneider Electric India does not have any founder since it is the Indian arm of Schneider Electric, France. Anil Chaudhry is Schneider Electric India’s current Country President and Managing Director.

What kind of industrial as well as regulatory level challenges do you face today?
India is well on the way of making it easy to be an innovative business in India given policy directions like GST which makes taxes uniform and recent policies which allow for standards and easier access to energy across the board.
What kind of ‘out-of-the-box’ strategies is Schneider Electric India providing for differing from the competitors?
Digitisation is changing the way individuals relate to each other and the way businesses work. Keeping this and some other mega trends in mind Schneider Electric is creating solutions for energy management which are helping businesses and end customers and keeping Life on! Some of the recent developments at Schneider Electric’s end include:
- System View: Our products are always part of a modular system: electrical, mechanical, digital. The sum of the parts always works better together from a customer application perspective.
- Digital: We work with our full ecosystem to ensure all Schneider Electric products are connected with open protocols and cybersecurity integral to the design. In this endeavor, we have developed an innovative technology-EcoStruxure, an architecture and platform that enables the ability to create an interoperable and open platform which is IoT enabled.
- Simple & Easy: Simplicity and ergonomic design are mandatory in all our offers that are intuitive and easy to design, commission, install, operate, and service.
How do you see the current state of industries?
The meteoric rise of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics, among other trends, has increased the competitiveness of most companies and domains. This will drive greater disruptions in various industries. While this may be good for customers, who will benefit from the additional choices and offers, it will exert pressure on bottom-lines and trigger more consolidation among companies.
Where is your company going? What excites you more about the future?
As countries increase efforts in lowering carbon footprints and meeting SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), companies would be forced to follow suit. Additionally, the rise of Smart Manufacturing and AI denote an energy management and automation major such as SE is set to attract more attention and business globally. Also, digital transformation is a key area of focus for us. Schneider Electric has developed innovative technology such as EcoStruxure which involves innovation at every level including-IT, buildings, grid, power, machines etc. It is an interoperable and open platform which is IoT enabled which improves operational profitability in a measurable, safe and sustainable way.
